Issue #3: 10 Questions for American Military Party President

Day 2,507, 10:08 Published in USA USA by Mike Milton

Hello again
Thank you for reading our newspaper. After we interviewed with Presidents of US Workers and We The People Parties this time I had the pleasure of speaking to American Military Party President, John Killah.

Hello John Killah, tell about yourself?

There's not much to say about myself really, I'm just a guy who sticks around for the community in his party that i've gladly been part of for the past 3 years.

What led up to becoming the party president?

You sometimes get the urge to take the reigns yourself in a party. It was one of them moments where I want to help steer the party in what I deemed a positive direction, and thankfully, I had the support of several people who agreed with my point of view.

Can you talk about your other positions in politics ? And please tell me about your experiences.

I won't bore you or your readers by listing every single thing I've done, so I'll just skim over the more important/favorite ones: I've been in Congress quite a bit, I thoroughly enjoyed my time as Secretary of Media writing the WHPR, and at one point thanks to the terrible Unity Process that preserved us in dark times, I was also PotUS back in February (A terrible term too), and finally, this isn't the first time I've been PP of AMP either.

If you hadn't become a party president, what might you have done?

Probably sat back as an advisor to the person who beat me.

Tell me about your party and your cabinet.

The AMP is currently the 4th biggest Party in the eUS, though we have a storied history including being the main opposition to the USWP at our respective apex's. We're focused on representing people from all walks of military life and with the exception of PTO Unit's, we've had members from nearly every Military Unit in the country. My Cabinet has experienced problems because of the issues facing the game, but those of them that are active are immensly talented and amazing in their respective areas ... Both I and the nation can no doubt expect great things from them in the future.

As the party president what are your goals? And what do you hope to achieve in Congress under the banner of American Military Party?

My main goals as AMP PP is simply to try and connect with the party's members and to find ways and means of keeping them interested in the game. To that end I've been constantly pushing our media mediums to keep them in the know and keeping programs that help the newer people in the game interested too. As for Congress, Our main concerns are always to put the country first, We'll never back anything we feel would harm the country's position.

If you don’t mind talk about your RL a little.

Not at all, I'm a 22 year old lad from across the pond in Britain. I work in retail as a shopfloor assistant, though you can pretty much just say i'm a slave for everyone xD In my spare time I enjoy gaming as much as I can and socialising with my friends ... When not glued to eRep.

How did you get into erepublik?

I used to a play a really bad Text-Based Zombie Game a long time ago called Urban Dead. From there, I met Haliman, who eventually convinced me to try this game when it was in the middle of the V2 cycle. I barely did anything for a long while until I really started getting addicted to both it and the community.

How did you come up with your nickname? What’s that mean?

Boringly enough, when I was playing a game I was under a boring name that just represented the character I was playing. So I decided to give him a bit of backstory including a name ... John I plucked out of thin air because it was common (John Doe), and Killah was a play on the word "Killer" ... And it's sorter just stuck with me.

Do you have anything to say to our readers?

Never feel you can't do anything or that you're not worth much. You're a unique individual in your own way and as long as you have the deterimination and drive, you can do ANYTHING in this game. Just remember though that it is a game and one of the main things you should always do is have fun and make friends, you wouldn't believe how much it is the latter of the two that keep you playing this game long after the monotonousness of it all sinks in.

Thank you so much for the interview John Killah, and thank you all again for your amazing comments and support.
