Hello my dear friends.

Yesterday I was candidate for congress election. Today, in early hours, our Party President Ian E CoIeman was putted me to 7. place in Official candidates list.

Now, I looked the Official candidates list, and I see that, me and other 7-8 people doesn't on that list. Just 4 people name's wrote on Official candidates list.

Is that a bug ?

I think it is because you applied from a terretory that is currently occupied by the enemy..

But I dont understand this, as a result of, I was candidate for congress. So what is gonna happen ?

I saw this happening before in other countries, maybe it is a bug. It is never ever mentioned as game mechanics if I am right.

You can avoid this situation if you are located in another region from your citizenship country until 25th of the month at 00:00. Once you got removed from the list, you can not be added back unless you reapply. "

It is mentioned somewhere in the rules (wiki?)

Essentially - "If the region you were in when you ran falls to another nation you are removed from the congressional process"

Therefore you should always run from somewhere safe (i.e Warsaw or the American Mid-West) to avoid being 'cut'.

then it the region where you was in your country before that time. best is to move with the flow and resign reapply when your region is under fire. roll with the punches.

Years ago, players used to candidate Congressman of a particular region. And on election day each region had it's own distinct little election, with voters supporting candidates directly instead of parties.
For various reasons the admins changed this to the current 'national party vote' system we have today.
However there is obviously some residual code from the previous system active.
Such chunks of 'shadow mechanics' are embedded everywhere in erep. Many ppl complain about them. But imo they make the game much more dynamic/interesting. But having generated millions in profit understanding these old systems, I might be a tad biased 😁
