The best Game show west of the Ardennes is proud to present today's guest, MCKitkat!

What is your history in eBelgium? Have you always been here or do you come from another eCountry?

Hello eBelgium. Yes, I’ve started in eBelgium a little more than 8 years ago. In that time I rose up in ranks of the government starting as a lowly ambassador, multiple time MoFA and MoD as well as numerous times Country President and I helped build up an alliance with friendly countries while also keeping that alliance alive for a number of months. I had a short break in the eUSA for a number of months, where I also helped out in Government before I eDied. I came back a few months ago to help out with the good vibes that I bring.

What was eBelgium like when you first started playing here?

eBelgium was welcoming of all and as a young player it was paradise on earth. There was support from everywhere, not just friendly advice and opportunities to grow as a players as well as a person but also in terms of support with weapons and food. I never felt lost in my first months and I managed to make a lot of friends and show that I really cared for eBelgium. There was a large active community that despite some infighting and despicable acts of certain members, we held up. I don’t think without that large support I’d have much reason to continue playing the game for as long as I did. My fondest memories really was the banter and the growth I saw as a person.

How has it changed, and what do you think changed it?

The biggest change is the lack of players and community. When I joined, we were already past the heyday of activity and since then it has continued to fall. Luckily the community that has remained has mostly calmed down. You don’t see that much homophobia or misogyny anymore, that once used to be rampant. However, it seems clear to me that certain individuals are still more than willing to resort to veiled threats. So it hasn’t completely calmed down. Other than that, despite a lack of community and the game changing to a point where many of the previous programs are no longer useful I believe the previous government have done a wonderful job in keeping programs running and providing what help they can to players. The inactivity and lack of programs atm is the outliner of several months of active government work.

If you were to become country president, what would be the major change to the way you run the country compared to the current president?

If I am elected CP, I’d bring back the BHA and the Air supplies which have been of much use to our players. The government would also be active, press buttons on time and make sure that questions are answered. I believe we can add transparency to what the government has been doing to our weekly articles that inform us about our program usages. So Transparency and activity is key! As I am seeing it now, we aren’t discussing anything, we are just getting served various law proposals to vote and questions remain unanswered. There are no programs whatsoever, so the players aren’t getting anything back. It’s not a situation which would you call democratic, it’s more autocratic and self-serving to me.
In politics evils should be remedied not revenged.

How would you use taxes to benefit the country?

I do not think taxes will help us very much in increasing our income. We should continue to rely on our income from concessions, but we can certainly try and talk with our biggest producers of what is and isn’t possible. But our main priority will remain the concessions and keeping those running.

How would you support growth going forward?

I’d support growth by re-introducing our old programs that were cut by the current government. The Housing help allowed our players to gain more money as well as recover more energy and fight more. The Air supplies helped our players fight in those crucial airbattles. Depending on how much more money we still have at our disposal we’ll look into creating new programs to help players, but that will obviously depend on how much income and financial budget we have to finance all. Both the housing program and the air-supplies vary a lot due to the number of players requesting them.

How do you plan to structure the government if you win?

If we come to the point that I’ve been elected as a CP, I’d propose an active government with competent people who have the experience and knowledge required to deal with the challenges ahead. Running a country is a serious business to me, and as an experienced statesman I know very well what challenges lie ahead. The most important of any CP is activity, you have to be there to press buttons, to react as not just you but other countries depend on you. A failure of the CP means a lack of trust from the outside world as well as from players. Could you imagine how many people would trust a CP that was temp-banned? I don’t think many would.

Vote for fabulousness

What do you believe eBelgium has to offer to those who wish to come here?

Belgium still has an active community that is full of love and banter. We try to help all players with our programs because we realize that only by government activity can we push people to remain active. If the programs stop, our players will fall behind and that means they will leave the game, because they can no longer compete.

Do you believe that eBelgium can truly be rescued from the clutches of inactivity and stagnation?

The game itself has been losing players ever since I joined many years ago. I don’t think we can revert the general trend but we can certainly try to delay the worst to come for quite some time. A lof of my old friends left the game, looking through MU pages I see so many payers that I used to spend hours with, who mentored me to be the person I am today. Yet I can still see some players from the past here and the banter with them still feels the same as if we’d still be in 2012.

I think the current government inactivity has shown that Belgians don’t like self-serving dictatorships and we tend to respond with increased activity. I believe this is one of the good parts of the current situation. Once we have our active government back as well as our government programs, I’m quite certain that we can keep activity up and get rid of this dictatorship.

What would you say to your fellow countrymen to encourage them to build up eBelgium again?

Have fun and get to know your fellow countrymen, find common hobbies. By solely relying on this game, you’ll soon find a dead-end because the game itself has changed very little. What keeps many playing still remains the community. I like to see the activity of our players right now, the belgian spirit of resisting against inactivity is increased from the press.

In terms of global politics, would you plan on forming new friendships with other countries? If so, who do you have in mind?

We’ll continue with our current friendships that will try to keep our relations with our neighbours on a friendly level. The Training Wars with the Netherlands and Germany should be continued if those countries wish to do so. In return we’ll be pressing the buttons on time!

Anything else you want to say to the people of eBelgium

Keep Believing in Tay Tay, for she shall save us from the evil that is this dictatorship! Also best of Luck to OkayOK and his run for Dictator President. I’m sure he’ll post his ideas for the future of eBelgium soon enough, for Transparency is important after all!

Thanks MCKitkat. You can count on my vote.
