Because manny articles are in de media I will release also one, but from the other side.
I will take a close look at the cost of this so the guys who wants it make sure they have enough gold to spend for this silly shit.
First you have to start a resistance war in one of these regions:
*Wallonie 253.75 gold
*Brussel 188.25 gold
*Flanders 87.5 gold
If you can conquer one you can attack from there to the other region (that will cost allmost the same). and even so, lets say you start a resistance in the cheapest regio, you have to fight for belgium from that regio to the others. so buy first a Q5 hospital. move than your people to there and fight!
But there is one point. the gold costs! You can see that the RW's arent really cheap. In my calculation will a free belgium cost more then the 1000gold!!! thats a hell of a lot. you know why? no of course not.
*You need to free the regions: +500 gold
*You need a new hospital (the old one will be destroyed when a region is conquered): 350 gold
*You need to have BEF: 200 gold
*You need more company's (because the most are in holland) : 200 gold
*And lots of other shit you even didnt know that they exist.
Make sure you get that gold first before spamming the media with a lot of shit news about the silly Independance!

We are working about this but we need all belgians who want the independance of belgium
@Dylan Verstraete: I think most important will be to gather support for this independence idea. For that you can try with the emotion that there is no Belgium in eRepublik. But that is something that almost all members from Belgian Party have too. But after some time most of them did not want an independent Belgium any more. Belgium will still have the language problem, but will be without high resource, money and infrastructure.
Talk with the members of Belgian party and find out the problems.
Indeed you will need all the Belgians that wants independence, I doubt you will get majority of Belgians in favour, because of all the wasted energy and resources to get an independence Belgium that probably will come in severe economic problems if it ever gets it independence without foreign interference.
I think the Belgiums should start a recistance war... Just because I can get some enjoyment out of it to see their epic failure.

I can't see how an article like this will prevent people from doing what they may really want to do.
You're just bringing facts they'll discover theirselves too. instead, bring forth all the positive about the merge. It may be a hard thing to do because there are countless positive things, so you may not know which to name.

Besides, Calling the people who want to have an independent Belgium makes you silly. they have the right to have such wish deep in their heart. If it was the other way around, I know I'd have the wish. (although I would support the merge because in the end it's a better thing)

I'm dutch, and I want the belgians to have their independence. It's obvious they aren't happy.
And, remember that the language problem wont magically stop. Belgium is a country with multiple languages even if you win your independace wars!
I agree with Mighty Sigh that the debate on eBelgian independence should be a considered one in which both sides treat each other with respect.
So senior players should stop talking down to those who aspire to recreate an eBelgian state and instead convince them of the merits of eUNL without crude comments.

it wasnt my idea to talking them down but make the sure what they want. it isnt only a part of having Belgium again, but much much much more. I did only pick one point. The costs. Betha gives some more points. If they want it? okay! I dont care! but be sure what is cost!

How can you agree with Mighty Sigh on this? Because he is not for treating others with respect. He is calling AndreasIsaksson silly ("Calling the people who want to have an independent Belgium makes you silly.") This is disrespectful.
Mighthy Sigh could learn a thing or two from AndreasIsaksson, who uses the word silly only when he talks about ideas (RW, independence) not when he talks about people.
The funniest about the fact that they start a resistance war is that older Belgians will fight against them because we know it's stupid to want independance.
Only thing that will happen is : loss of hospital and humiliation of Belgium...

@ Dylan Verstraete, indeed the eUNL is a country with multiple languages, but as some French players think a free eBelgium also means a eBelgium free of language problems I feel I have to correct them. As that is clearly not the case.

If they want to have independance, let them. I can imagine some would really try to make it on their own.
However, I doubt the majority of the Belgians are in favour. I think most are aware the disadvantages of a independant Belgium far outweigh the advantages.
NL and BE are both tiny counties. If we want to get anywhere, we must cooperate. Simple as that,
I have to say this article was needed to be brought to the attention of "some" Belgians. Many of the newer players constantly cry for freedom without seeing the financial burden and difficulty of running a new country from scratch. Maybe this will help open their eyes in a more direct and painful manner. I would also like to state that I am all for Belgians getting their independence one day, but for the moment we are much stronger and better unified as one.
When there are normal discussions about it and good players want a chance to build their country again then we (atleast I) won't counter that. It is just that this time there were many multies first and later people that moved here from foreign ecountries and sounded like they only want to divide our people. There must be an amount of serious people that have some experience atleast before individualizing.
