I name you ENEMY!!

Is there room for nuance in eRep?

No.

This is a game. Being a bleeding heart, hyper compassionate, super sensitive blob of feels accomplishes NOTHING. Nobody is going to commit the time and resources necessary to be totally fair 100% of the time, and we don't have the luxury of erring on the side of 'friendly'. Not even the admins care about being 'fair.' It's kind of an absurd request if you think about it. So what's fair?

I'm not talking about Ronald Gipper Reagan being banned multiple times for cheating and saying that's somehow okay because he doesn't have the time or resources to legitimately rally support from US Citizens. That was a lost cause and cheating was his last resort (before turning to America's enemies to help him take the White House by force), but that doesn't excuse it. It's not fair, but he's still allowed to play. He is a domestic terrorist.

Should I be using that word? Is it fair to call him a domestic terrorist?

Yes. There is no room for nuance in eRep. He also fits the definition rather perfectly.

This morning I read a claim of racism in my shout feed. A former Serbian is being denied government benefits because they are a former Serbian. He claims to now be a loyal American. Maybe he is. Maybe he isn't. But is it fair to treat ALL Serbians equally?

Yeah, basically. There is no room for nuance in eRep. Unless someone has really proven that they are loyal to America (long term) then why take the gamble?

Who is really going to take the time to go through every single foreign citizen that has recently hopped into the eUS to determine what their intentions are? Who is going to comb through the membership list of the American Freedom Alliance and figure out who is there as part of the plot to take down America and who is just dumb and not paying attention? Nobody.

We did literally everything we could to pull away the handful of newbs in the AFA who just didn't know any better. At what point is there no longer a good excuse for being allied with our enemies and working against us?

Eventually you have to make these calls. You have to say THIS is what the enemy looks like and then that is the enemy. If you start making exceptions then it all falls apart and we end up pretty much where we have been in the last couple months- we have no idea who the enemy is so we allow ourselves to be distracted by petty, stupid things.

Serbians are our enemies.

Ronald Gipper Reagan is our enemy.

Chickensguys is our enemy.

The American Freedom Alliance is our enemy.

Being one of those things or voluntarily associating with those things puts you in a bad spot with loyal Americans. Too bad, so sad.

There's not much more to discuss. Don't whine about it. Don't be upset. If you are a Serb who suddenly decided to come to America and play as a loyal American against your RL friends and neighbors, then good on ya... but don't be surprised if nobody believes you. You can either join your Serbian friends, create a new account as an American, or keep your head down and prove your loyalty by continuing to serve America and her interests. There are plenty of foreign citizens who have come here and proven their loyalty and become very valuable assets to the eUS through long-term service. You could become one of them, but it takes time and you can't expect everyone to bend over backwards for you. We are under attack... by your brethren.

There is simply no room for nuance in eRepublik. This is not RL. This is a game. Draw lines and pick a side. Once you've picked a side- stay there. We may not have room for nuance, but there is always room for integrity.

Whatever your side, be loyal to it.

UPDATE: Enemies in CONGRESS. Know who they are.
