What is “The Dark Side”? - explanation and definition:

“The dark side does include bureaucrats and functionaries who are driven by their lust for power into expanding and nurturing big government. We see it in attorney generals who presume celebrities and deep-pocketed corporations are guilty until proven innocent and who twist the legal process to obtain guilty verdicts.

Naturally the dark side is very prevalent in government. The dark side is most especially politicians who campaign for limited government and then vote for bigger government, increased taxes and reductions in civil liberties. But it could also be an economist who takes a lucrative and potentially powerful position in government and then "sells out" his principles.”

Today’s story is ordinary every day’s story, but accidentally today is also the day when the CP elections are held in eRepublik. Main character of this story is one of the contestants and pretendants to become CP of eBelgium in the next term. As I myself studied Law and I have a good knowledge of Common Law, I know it is very sensitive to write about someone else and as it is forbidden to insult other users on the basis of the religious, ethnic, sex, political or any other affiliation or orientation. Moderators and Administrators have the right to ban persons from eRepublik, if they consider their behaviour is inappropriate and not in the spirit of the laws and the rules of the eRepublik. So I hope this will not be case with me after I publish this article.

THE ROOTS:

As you already know I am playing this game for some time (few months) and it is really bothering me and makes me pissed to listen and to read about this supposed threat to eBelgium. In my last article I wrote and published it, I tried to explain the reality and the facts; but what I am still seeing is the same thing; there is no change in opinion and in minds of certain people. The fact and the reality is: there is no threat, no danger, no whatsoever. The only threat for me which exists; lays is in the heads of the people and it is coming out of their minds. I find it not adequate and appropriate to let such people run eBelgium. So I stand against those policies and their predicaments.
In my today’s story; I will concentrate on one person and give him nickname - “The Unnamed Citizen”, for this occasion. Why, Unnamed? There are certain reasons for it, but mainly because we all know about whom I`m talking.
When he was running for the CP last time (in December), he asked for help and support from us members of my MU and PP and we have given him this support. Even I knew it was useless, as he didn’t stand a chance to win it.
Afterwards, I found out he approached us because he made deal with the CP to get a function. What I felt was disappointment, because he sold himself rather cheaply only to get what he wanted and therefore lost our trust and confidence. For long time, I was thinking there was need for justification, action and reaction. Because I believe, in one common general universal cosmic law which exists and it is applicable for everyone. “WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.”
