If you did not read my last article, I will be doing a sports segment (My "Sport Report") almost daily. Tuesdays will be for the MLB.

American League Finals

Detroit Wins 4-0

I was very pleased to see the Tigers sweep the Yanks, mainly because I am a Bostonian, and I just love for the Yankees to lose. With Jeter injured and A-Rod not performing half as well as usual, the Yanks stood no chance against Detroit's pitching.

National League Finals
St. Louis 6-4 San Francisco
St. Louis 1-7 San Francisco
San Francisco 1-3 St. Louis
San Francisco 3-8 St. Louis
San Francisco 5-0 St. Louis
St. Louis 1-6 San Francisco
St. Louis 0-9 San Francisco

San Francisco Wins 4-3

I was both shocked and a little disappointed at the outcome of this series. I always like to see a wildcard do well, so I was kinda rooting for the Cardinals all along. I was a little surprised at the way San Francisco was able to rally from being down 3-1 in the series to win the next three straight, but after their performance in those last three games, there is no doubt in my mind that the better team won.
