The city of Thessaloniki (Greece, Macedonia)

Dear e-friends
Thessaloniki is Greece’s second biggest city after Athens. It is located in central Macedonia, 637km away from Belgrade, 299km from Sofia and 596km from Constantinople. It has a long and rich history and is considered an important commercial, cultural and financial center.

After a lot of effort we present you our guide for the city of Thessaloniki. We tried to gather and present the most important places and features that make this city really unique. Where to go, what to see, where to eat or drink and a lot of including features that will make your life easier having always in mind that this is your first time in Thessaloniki.

You will be able to find useful information about the city’s museums, paleo-christian churches, archaeological sites and monuments, the city’s intense Night life and of course, the food culture and cuisine. You will also have the chance to read a couple of things about some of the most important destinations near Thessaloniki like Halkidiki (wonderful during the summer!) or Vergina.

Thessaloniki has a huge college community because of the universities located here, some of which are in the center of the city. This is one of the main reasons the city feels so alive and full of energy.

More beautiful pictures from different areas of the city will be added really soon in order to give you an idea of what to expect. Some sections of the site are still under construction. The Greek, Bulgarian and Serbian versions of the guide are also under construction.

Η πόλη της Θεσσαλονίκης (Ελλάς, Μακεδονία) --- Με αφορμή την συνάντηση του E-republik 28 – 30 Ιουνίου ---

Αγαπητοί e-φίλοι/ες
Παραβλέποντας τις σχετικές πληροφορίες για την πόλη της Θεσσαλονίκης καθώς οι περισσότεροι τις γνωρίζετε ήδη, θα θέλαμε να παρουσιάσουμε και στο κοινό της e-Greece το αποτέλεσμα των προσπαθειών μας για έναν οδηγό πολης για την όμορφη Θεσσαλονίκη.

Προσπαθήσαμε τους τελευταίους μήνες να μαζέψουμε και να παρουσιάσουμε όσο καλυτέρα γινόταν κάποια από τα ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά και τα πιο σημαντικά μέρη που θεωρούμε ότι κάνουν την πόλη αυτή μοναδική.

Πληροφορίες σχετικά με το που μπορεί κάποιος να πάει, τι μπορεί να δει, τι επιλογές έχει σχετικά με το φαγητό και την νυχτερινή ζωή, καθώς και μια σειρά από ενσωματωμένα χαρακτηριστικά που επιτρέπουν σημαντικές ευκολίες σε Έλληνες η ξένους φίλους που βρίσκονται στο εξωτερικό σχετικά με το ταξίδι η την διαμονή τους.

Καθώς η σελίδα βρίσκεται υπο διαρκή ανάπτυξη, θα προσθέτουμε συνέχεια νέο υλικό και φωτογραφίες με σκοπό ένα καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα αισθητικά αλλά και πρακτικά με νέες πληροφορίες. Για την ώρα είναι έτοιμη μόνο η Αγγλική έκδοση δυστυχώς, αλλά σύντομα θα είναι έτοιμη και η Ελληνική ενώ θα ακολουθούσουν κ άλλες γλώσσες.

Ελπίζουμε το αποτέλεσμα να είναι ωραίο αισθητικά και σαν περιήγηση γενικότερα και να δώσει μια καλή ιδέα για την πόλη ενόψει και της συνάντησης του καλοκαιριού στις 28 – 30 Ιουνίου 2013 καθώς πολλοί από τους e-φίλους μας έρχονται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα και την Θεσσαλονίκη.
