eNigeria - FSK, PTO and bank robbery [EN]

Day 2,691, 07:34 Published in Germany Germany by KTTRS

On the 22.05.2014 Nigeria was added to eRepublik, together with Cuba and Armenia. As a tiny country with only ~150 active citizens you, my dear reader, might ask yourself why you should even care about that country. And rightly so, I did the same at first. After I started playing again, I soon noticed several shouts on my friend-feed, telling me to fight for Nigeria. And only after asking around I was told that a German Paramilitary Group – The FSK, is playing an active part in that country. eGermans governing important positions in another country is something unusual. So unusual that I had to inform myself on the situation in the country and write an article about it. The most obvious question being: Is the FSK doing an hostile PTO in eNigeria, enslaving a tiny, helpless eNation?
The article starts with some general information on the country and will be concluded with an interview with eNigerian community member NorthAfricaCorps which hopefully can answer some of the open questions.

The Country
Unfortunately for eNigeria, eRepublik is blocked in Nigeria. Because of that it’s difficult for real Nigerians to even play the game. Therefore Nigeria is mostly populated by Portuguese, Argentinians and well Germans as well. Nevertheless the current president of the country, Oothere is a RL-Nigerian. His cabinet consists mainly of eGermans, his MoE Zender is Lithuanian and strangely there are very no Argentinians or Portuguese players in his government.

Quite normal for a small country like Nigeria is the significant risk of PTO. This is also one of the reasons why right at the time I first wrote this article eNigeria was completely wiped from the map to stop congress elections.
Right now there are two other groups in the country. First and foremost, there is the Portugese Sporting Party. The party was created by Juve Leo, an infamous Portuguese player, known for robbing the Portuguese state treasury.
The Portuguese players are very active in the comment section of every article in eNigeria, trying to discredit the current government. In my opinion however these guys are more trolls than a serious danger and I think their comments are so easy to see through that it’s kinda funny.
A more serious danger might be the Argentinian PTO attempts on the country. A former active government member of eNigeria; Poncho Warrior, managed to rob the country of 370203 NGN and a huge amount of Q7 weapons. The former President Kalif Batan wrote an interesting article about that topic: http://www.erepublik.com/de/article/-country-president-poncho-warriors-theft-of-nigerias-state-treasury-2501907/1/20
If you read the comments under this article you will also notice a different tone, whereas the Portuguese PTOers seem kinda trollish and funny, it’s clear that the Argentinians mean business. The most infuriating fact is that Poncho Warrior's actions seem to get official support by the Argentinian government, who justify everything by “their sources” telling them about deals between Nigeria and Chile.

I won’t comment further on these allegations, check the article’s comments to form your own opinion on that matter.

The climax of the Argentinian tries must have been a Large-Scale Civil war, in which Argentinians tried to install a dictator. Luckily for eNigeria this attack could be repelled quite impressively.

Much like eGermany, eNigeria is also neighboured by stronger nations, which can theoretically just take the regions they want. Though one can’t deny that Uruguay doesn’t profit from its current stay in Nigeria, it is no hostile occupation but rather an ATO-measure, as Nigeria can’t afford to have all its regions at congress elections. And in the end Uruguay also pays back the regions’ generated taxes to Nigeria.

Interview with NorthAfricaCorps:

Hi NAC, how comes you suddenly are in Middle-Africa?

A desert fox waits its whole life for the opportunity to fry underneath Africa’s hot sun. And of course a new country always has a certain appeal. In a game that has gotten more boring I profited from Nigeria as a place for new things. There was no tradition, no establishment neither in staff, politics, nor in habits. Usually all this brings more excitement than the life in a dying country.

Can you tell me how the whole situation with the FSK in Africa evolved.

By chance we had 3-4 people who wanted to move to Nigeria right after it was added. However this didn’t really work out. Of course the wish for an excursion to Nigeria prevailed for some of us, even though we didn’t realize the possible scale of something like that. I personally received one of the highly demanded citizenships soon later and tried to gain a foothold for myself. Finally our administration decided to start this project as a way to raise activity and the identification with our MU. As Alex asked us for ATO support, the whole thing could be combined and everything took its course.

How would you describe the involvement of the FSK in eNigeria? Is a German PTO happening and what do Illuminati Steinmetzte have to do with it?

I want to mention that the FSK never had any intention to do a PTO. At first we have just been there, as an ATO-measure. This should be a sweet project for our MU, there weren’t any political goals.
Now I personally like to utilize every aspect of the game. I was Nigerian Sitizen and wanted to get involved in the politics there. This leaded to me running as CP under the Foxland-banner in November. Because i wanted to have able people in my cabinett (which Nigeria always had a lack of) I manned my cabinet with 3 FSK-members and 5 other eNigerians with mixed origins. This lead to a situation with not only me, but also others being politically involved. Especially the fact that we fought with Kalif Batan as Minister of Interior against Juve Leo and Co.made several more FSK-members politically involved.
Today we are a group that applies itself politically and militarily for eNigeria. Moreover there are 3 further groups as well as a lot of singular persons. If you take a look at the current situation yourself, you will notice that we work peacefully and productively together with the (rational) rest of eNigeria. We don’t act as German MU but as independant Nigerian citizen that fight for the best of their country.

Did Poncho Warrior’s theft affect you greatly? Have there been tries to call contact him or has there been any other progress?

The theft bereft our country of all financial means. we don’t talk about the amount of money that can be earned in a few months. Nigeria has incredible low tax gains. Our “fat” account was based on a contest in which we came of especially well, which gave us a nice trophy money from Plato. So it’s not easy to get an amount like that again.
We took several measures after the theft, calls were made. The problem: A lot of South Americans seem to be blessed with the gift not to be able to communicate in English. This makes every kind of communication useless.

What can you tell me about the current Situation in eNigeria? Do you get on with your neighbours?

Our most important neighbour right now and in the future is Argentina. At the end of 2014 we managed to oust Greece from our regions with the the support of AlexanderMKD. At the end of 2014 we managed to hold congress-elections in Novemver/December (as well as in the two following months), something that failed because of the Greek resistance before. Though weren’t best friends with Argentina, our relation was good and professional. When Chile wiped Argentina from the map and consequently conquered their Nigerian regions we dealt with the new situation and concluded a treaty with Chile, ensuring us our congress elections and tax returns. For many Argentinians this was a hostile action against them or even a breach of contract - which imo is both without grounds. Since Poncho’s theft as well as a failed coup d’état from a group of Argentineans in Nigeria got not only tolerated but supported by Argentina (including members of government) our relation is broken. In contrast to that, the relations with South-Africa (Lazokrats) and Uruguay aren’t bad. We had in recent times train wars and ATO-support.

What’s eNigeria’s relationship with eGermany? Is there one?

In the summer of 2014 there was a MPP between both our countries. At that time AlexMCS182 was still president. This MPP however had nothing today with the German populace in Nigeria. The relations are in some way existent - as you can’t override the relations single players have with eGermany, even after changing their CS. There has also been military help from a lot of eGermans that sympathise with us. However never from an official side, there is basically no communication between both governments. With other words: There is no relation with eGermany at the time, the relations with many eGermans however are still very good.

What do you wish for eNigerias future?

I would love to see the populace become a heterogenous mass. Not only Germans or Argentineans should determine the life in eNigeria. As there are barely any RL-Nigerians here, congress and government should be formed out of players from most diverse backgrounds. Everyone should be aware that an eNigerian should also represent the interests of eNigeria and not of their home-country.

I hope you learned more about eNigeria with this article.
