I'm not a fan of it, but I don't see it being removed.
I don't know, maybe they should reform it, so that you have to be a citizen of the country where you start a revolution and only citizens of that country can fight in that war. That's for starting a dictatorship, but maybe it should stay international for removing the Dictator.
o/
9,800 Gold Per month that is much gold!
The stupid thing which admin could do in history of this game.Like someone already said,I am not a fan of it.Further more it"s so boring when the eCountry has Dictator.I"ve think admins should finished with this module once and for all.
What"s the point of having Congress when some eCountry are under Dictatorship?.
I think the module is interesting, the only change they need to make is to restrict participation in a coup to those with CS of the country. That would remove the need for us to have a dictator for safety
Not 100% sure of that...
The admins get even more due to people spending 200k cc (approx. 650 gold) every time there is a revolution or dictatorship battle. They are in the tens of thousands each month.
As Addaway said, if we didn't have to have a dictatorship for safety it would be much better. If it was slightly cheaper it would probably also help to make it more interesting as people would be more likely to start a battle. As people die off hopefully more people will take risks with the module (i.e. 'rogue' battles) and it could make it more interesting. At the moment, when a country is united behind the dictatorship for protection, the module probably isn't showing it's full potential.
How does it protect them?
Well if a country has a dictatorship, an enemy would have to spend 400k (instead of 200k) to take over through this module (MTO) and gain complete access to buttons, treasury, etc.
Is it really that much safer? 200k or 400k, you're spending a tonne of money so you're gonna throw everything at it.
Have there been any take overs from outside the country like this yet?
In the eUK there's been no takeovers from outside while using a protection-dictator system, and we've had it for quite a while now.
Before having the current system in place we got one very quickly after having a short period of democracy.
It also allows a 10-day buffer to move funds from the country accounts to a safe location, meaning someone has to spend 400k to become dictator with no immediate return on investment.
So you think they should take down dictatorships only so you can get gold?
You are only giving more reasons for dictatorships so "leaders" can bypass stupid chambers like congress.
what are you talking about i love having 40 people struggling to come to a decision and arguing in a message.
Dictators make 65 gold a month, close to the same congress losses.
65 is not close 200 where did you learn maths Dairy Skool? 🙂
Being in a dictatorship is optional, if you don't like it, petition the Govt to go back to a democracy. People bitch and moan about a boring politics module and they finally do something cool and you're gonna complain because you have one less avenue of making gold?
In political aspect this module largely reproduces the model of absolute monarchy in which there should not be a parliament and constitution - in this form module is made contradictory, because Parliament is there, but can't do anything. That is ensconce - in that case module have to force the dictator to dissolve parliament and previous government and appoint a new force structure.
The existing Parliament and Constitution in the module resembles the constitutional monarchy, where the powers of the monarch (dictator in our case) are bound by the constitution and parliament and he did not omnipotent. That means that the dictator must comply with them, in other case module became complete nonsense from a political perspective. Leaving aside credit cards, the sick ambitions of some players and Plato's profit here it appears that the political module becomes completely wrong in dictatorial rule.
So module must be adjusted to mimic enough politically absolute monarchy (dictatorship in our case) OR should be revised to allow choice when becomes - an absolute monarchy (dictatorship - with mandatory dissolution of Parliament by the dictator) or constitutional monarchy (where the dictator became the head of government, but must obey the constitution and is dependent of the parliament).
Not that Plato/Admins would give a s**t about what you, me, or anyone else thinks needs to be changed...
Proposal may be submitted to Plato (game department) on the subject. If the support is large enough this module can be modified or removed I think.
