eKSA: G'Documents Overview

Day 2,685, 11:41 Published in Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia by I-G-D

Dear citizens of eSaudi Arabia,

During the past I have published a lot of G’documents that I personally use in order to make things in eSaudi Arabia organized more efficiently, and honestly, I don’t know how many people remember all the links… Since there are many G’documents in question (more than 10), it becomes increasingly difficult to bookmark all of them. In order to make this a lot easier, and to popularize the use of G’documents by both our citizens and the other Government members, I have decided to organize all the G’docs in one large folder:

eKSA Legal Documents

So yeah, the folder is called “eKSA Legal Documents”, and as the name suggests, it contains all the eSaudi legal documents. That folder has 3 subfolders, called “Public”, “Government” and “Temporary”.

The “Public” subfolder is to be seen by everyone, you don’t have to be logged onto your G-Mail to be able to see it (you don’t even have to have a G-Mail). In there you can see some G’docs that are mostly related to the general laws of eSaudi Arabia, battle orders, tutorials for the newer players, and other important stuff. If you want to find some useful information, this is the folder you should visit.

The “Government” folder can only be seen by Government members when they’re logged into their respective G-Mails. This folder should be used by the Government in order to keep things well organized. It should contain G’docs that have to do with Government work, above all.

The last folder is the “Temporary” folder which can be seen only by me. That’s where I keep all of my personal G’docs before I make them official. That means that they are either not organized at all or unsorted. Since they do prove to be useful from time to time, it’s better to store them all in one place to be able to access them in the future if need be, than to delete them.

Right now I’m going to talk about the G’docs that are currently located in the “Public” folder, since they are the most important ones. Their titles are pretty much self-explanatory, though I believe a short elaboration would be much useful to our newer players:

1) Constitution of eSaudi Arabia

This is the central G’doc, as it contains all the most important laws of eSaudi Arabia. It is also by far the longest, spanning well over 20 pages. Unfortunately, it is still written in English only, since nobody has ever translated it to Arabic. If anyone (who speaks both fluent Arabic and good English) is interested in translating it (or a part of it), please let me know.

2) Royal Decrees of eSaudi Arabia

This document is like an upgrade to the Constitution: it contains the Royal Decrees, who control all the laws of eSaudi Arabia together with the rules written in the Constitution. Unfortunately, it is not 100% finished, or translated to Arabic. Even so, it still proves to be fairly useful.

3) Political Organs of eSaudi Arabia

This document is great if you wish to get informed about who the people in the Government are and to learn their positions/functions. It contains the list of all the Government members with their respective roles (sorted into 4 ministries, plus the Presidential Advisers). The document also contains the list of all the Cabinet members, Congressmen, and some additional information about the Party President, Country President, Vice-President, Dictator, and more.

4) Black List and Gray List of eSaudi Arabia

The Gray List contains the names of all the eSaudi players who have broken some law written in the Constitution or in the Royal Decrees document, during the last 30 days. Players on the Gray List are still treated like normal citizens; being on that list only serves as a warning not to break any other laws again. Naturally, if the player in question breaks a serious law or continues breaking laws time and time again, he has the potential to get black listed. The Black List is a much more serious matter. Players from that list are treated like enemies, and they have no citizen rights. Both of these lists can be viewed on this G’document, as well as the Gray List History (the list of players who used to be on the Gray List, but got removed after not breaking any laws for the next 30 days).

5) eSaudi Fighters

Here you can see all the registered eSaudi Arabian soldiers and their True Patriot scores. You can also see the names of the other citizens who aren’t registered soldiers or those players who used to be fighters, but stopped playing the game. All these citizens are sorted into 4 spreadsheets, depending on their division. There is another important spreadsheet in this G’document and it contains the list of supplies sent to each fighter. This spreadsheet is actually one of our oldest G’docs fragments, being almost 600 days old. It used to be an independent document before it got upgraded to become what it is today.

6) eSaudi Arabia: MoD Orders

This G’document is in its alpha phase, so it is mostly empty.

7) eSaudi Arabia: Gamer’s Dictionary

As you’ve probably guessed, the Gamer’s Dictionary is mostly a new players’ tutorial. Its goal is to help them understand the various acronyms and/or slang words used in eRepublik. Since there are plenty of them, this document can prove to be quite useful. If you know some more words which I haven’t included in the dictionary, please let me know.

Please check out the eKSA Legal Documents folder and tell me what you think about the folder’s general organization and the documents inside. I think I’ve fixed all the issues, though it’s possible that there are some problems I haven’t noticed.

That’s that for this article.

I-G-D,
President of eSaudi Arabia
