eFooty tipping 2015 season - round 3

Day 2,704, 00:31 Published in Australia Canada by Ilene Dover

In spite of the upheavals this week, it is comforting to know that some things never change. Welcome to round 3 of the AFL season, and the third week of eFooty tipping. Those that played last week can skip ahead and put their tip in. For newcomers, read on!

How does it work? Endorse this article for $10 to buy in for the round. Post your tipped winner and margin in the comments. Correct tip and closest margin will take all, plus $10 for mine (since I can't endorse my own article). Obviously, no double ups on margins and tips. First come - first served. If you happen to hit the wrong button "by accident", and you go over the extra will wind up in the kitty. If you go under, well...I know a guy who knows a guy... 🙂

Tips will be taken until bounce down of the relevant game. Which is, for round 3, a Melbourne love-in:

Collingwood v St Kilda at the MCG

Good luck!!!

To those that don't understand the game? Have a guess, like me! Aussie Rules (or AFL) is one of those sports that reward you for missing the goals. Each goal is worth 6 points, with each near-miss (or strike of the goal posts, or a few other combinations) worth 1 point. The final score will look like this: 7.7 (49), meaing 7 goals (42 points) and 7 "misses" (1 point) for a total of 49 points. Incidentally, 7.7 is the only score that works out as a product - we had to prove that in 8th grade algebra. 🙂
