'Power Spins' are back and with it the opportunity to lose your hard earned money quickly. This article shows you how this feature works and how it will trick you if you don't know the details of how it works.
Every so often the admins re-introduce this feature. Basically what they do is give everyone 1 free spin of this wheel per day in the hope you will continue to play; with paid spins to 'win' prizes.
How it works
To start with you spend 1 Gold per spin. However after a while the cost starts to increase. It continues to climb, making each go cost you more. This is a sneaky addition to the wheel as people begin playing under the impression all spins equal 1 Gold.
The chance of each outcome is not evenly distributed between the 8 options. Your chances are not 1 in 8. The odds are weighted. Weighted in favour of the player winning? lol No. Play several spins on this and you will end up with a lot of bazooka boosters and other prizes that are not worth the Gold you invested.
Prizes and a further trick
The guerilla fight items, bazooka booster, x2 energy bar, 50% damage booster and +100 prestige are all not worth even the starting-spin cost of 1 Gold. The jackpot 100 damage booster is not even worth the cost of the cheapest wheel spin.
This brings me on to the second hidden downside, or trick as I call it. You have to win the jackpots in order. This means you cannot win the 500 Gold the first time you hit the jackpot, no, no, no. You have to win the 100% damage booster before you can win the 500 health-house before you can win the 500 Gold. From reading what people have said about this feature last time it was implemented, it seems the average amount of Gold you have to spend to win the 500 Gold jackpot is 450 Gold. Therefore if you do not have a vast amount of Gold to spend you will just be out of pocket. If you do have 450 Gold, (more needed in some cases) is it worth the gamble? You have no assurance that you will make 50 Gold, you could blow your entire stockpile and quite frankly the serious investor will be using the marketplace, monetary market and other features rather than some risky Gold black-hole the admins have created.
Use the free spin if you think you can use it without being drawn into more spins. Otherwise do not use this feature!

spent 2.1 g, got a free 24hr 100% dmg boosters.
and from what I understand, 100 pp, gf packs, 2x energy bar, +100 EC, and 10m 50% dmg booster are not a bad thing, and I think, wasting 10-20g on it is not a bad idea.

I heard that if you get the 4th jackpot, you'll get a gf for sure.
but, no one ever tries this. so I doubt it.
I rolled out +800g on the original wheel to test it's mechanics.
I did get the 500g relatively quickly (bout 250g worth of spins) but in the long run, it is probably unlikely to be rewarding. 800g isn't really a big enough sample to post definitive statistics for the wheel, and that salient fact alone should be enough to discourage you from spinning gold.
Several people (including me) have reported getting the +100 health house on their free spin.
It's purely anecdotal, but perhaps Plato has tweaked the weightings this time to suck more people into spinning for gold rather than just for free?

I just do the free spin, why not and never ever paid for a further one. Just usually win the guerilla items which are useless as I don't play that or some minor prize which are ok for free. Informative article thanks for explaining how the trick works.. just another fruit machine..
