Hi kids!
Say hello to the magnificent seven Canucks. Smoke and klop will be my right and left hands (VP & PM). IBB and Xichael will be doing the talking for us (MoFA & MoD). Xander will be feeding the kids (MoE) and Bryan will carry the purse (Comptroller). Not too shabby if I say so myself.
There will of course be deputy positions to fill. (What good westerns don't have deputies and such.) We have our eyes on some likely folks that show promise. I'll also be seeking some advisers.
Now The Long Winded Stuff
There are three points I would address in December.
1. FA is paramount. Canada is NOT an island. Once being loud mouthed braggarts that couldn't be trusted, now Canada has the reputation of good ally and friend. Even now we benefit from our relations with Brazil, France and Portugal.
We MUST have communication with allies, friends and our alliance. We must have good communications with our enemies. We must have FA people who keep their finger on the pulse of an international scene that is ever changing and who can relate that information in a timely manner to the leadership.
2. We MUST develop better communications to our public. The CP needs to make sure that the MoD orders are published on a regular basis and updated regularly. Ministers need to be passing on information that is not privileged so everyone is on the same page. How do we expect people to 'work together' if they don't even know what we're doing?
3. Being inclusive while not letting go of the reigns is going to require balance not radicalism. New people should be encouraged to speak their mind but at the same time need to take some notes and learn about what's actually going on before going off on a tangent. We've got a good solid group looking out for our best interest. What is needed is for new blood to learn the ropes and be trained by the best. This has happened some but needs to be expanded.

Closing Thought
Not wanting to make this any longer than necessary but I have to mention "The Coalition". There has been some spatting between the 'talking heads' and myself. I don't consider they necessarily represent any group except their own special interest. The coalition is a group of people that wish to promote their interest through better representation. That is perfectly understandable. Someone that promotes the use of any coalition to further the agenda of a few is not working for the greater good. That's about as clear as I can state my position without details or names.
It's a while before CP election. Hope to have a good showing of candidates. Punisher has already annouced here. Read all you can to understand what people stand for so that you can make an informed decision on the 5th. Don't just listen to what some important sounding 'official' tells you to do.

Talking heads / leadership. Same difference I'm sure. Given that you just trolled the hell out of 43% of your voting base, probably a good time to shut the hell up about anything coalition give that you've demonstrated you don't have a clue. Stick to to what you know and maybe you can still pull it off.

The coalition thing is not the problem. I don't like what the coalition is being promoted to do.
Changing the way any group does something requires you to do it from the inside. Doesn't matter if it's RL government, the Elks club or your aunt Suzie's bridge tournament. Next time your city council has a meeting stand just outside the door and start yelling "Fire hydrants should be yellow not red!" and see how much you accomplish. However if you start attending meetings, express yourself well and possibly run and get elected councilman you might actually get the damn fire plug's color changed.
What do you think the coalition is being promoted to do? You were too busy dumping on it to see it for the simple concept of three parties helping each other out to be a significant voice in Congress. A point acknowledge by many others both in comment threads and clearly when it came time to vote.
For my part, the first thing I intend to do is ask that the CroO/Congress rule book be displayed in both French and English as we have a large number of primary French speaking players that English only is a barrier to play.
Our first proposal is the discussion for the Repeal of the Immigration and Security Reform Act as it is a barrier to new players join the country with wait times that are entirely too long.
All in line with exactly what we said we were going to do. Encourage players to participate and remove barriers that prevent players from participating.

I asked you about working together even when you were hostile and rude. I pointed out teamwork would be needed and you decided to troll instead. You flew at this newly formed group from day one clearly with no concept of why it existed or it's intentions, for whatever reason clearly only you may be vaguely aware, because you've demonstrated no accurate knowledge to date regarding this group. I've reached out to the French contingent since I came to Canada. Last time I was CP Quentin was on my cabinet as the PFC representative. Unfortunately there was never any communication started. If elected I will attempt to reach out again.
I also do not plan to limit myself when selecting people to help run things. I select active, knowledgeable people, party doesn't matter.
Please link to where you asked to work together and I was hostile or rude. Also I want a citation where I've said anything about the group. The only thing I remember is speaking up about DMV and you.
Dill, you trolled the Coalition from the beginning. If you're elected i can guarantee you will go down as the most divisive CP Canada has had in recent history, not to mention the most ineffective CP when you can pass anything because you made sure to piss off a large portion of Congress before you even got elected. Good luck, you're going to need it.

I asked Utat about getting this done weeks ago. It was on IRC, so there's no record.

I discussed this with the IC on the forums, but I had hoped to have a new Speaker in place before we began serious discussions like this. I like to put the horse before the cart. As it stands, I'm supporting it right now.
I'd also like to see that "let's work together" idea, because I'm pretty sure your article was about burning down the Establishment and saying the forums don't matter while expressing deep resentment about how apparently some people are being excluded there.
Good luck maintaining that "angry rebel with a cause" schtick when you're basically parroting "revolutionary" ideas your hated "Establishment" has been discussing for a while now.

I possibly fought too long to keep Canada in India. Ask Lysander why he moved here and left his home there.
It was more like 240 gold and was promptly paid back, as Comptroller Bryan Alexander. As a kind gesture, not all was returned to the Treasury by me, some in Congress took it upon themselves to return part as they felt responsible because they did not follow my request to vote the "Declare War" proposal down.
That 240 gold came out of the communities pocket all the same. People donated gold they could have used on EBs, but now that gold is gone down the rabbit hole because you didnt know what buttons to press. How much you going to cost the country this term?
Are you more butthurt that:
1. I bought gold specifically to repair my mistake (knowing full well that you pay for gold yourself and do not give a public account on what you spend it on)a/
2. People cared enough to come along side me to shoulder some of the responsibility?

India was a lost cause and was being a drain more than anything. The Indian government backstabbed while talking nice. If you recall, they organized their brazen counter-offensive on their Independence Day or something like that. Dill also corrected his error. People make mistakes, and if they make up for them then it's a learning experience and can be avoided in the future.
I liked working with Dill's government because he was clear and concise in what needed to be done. We were constantly provided daily briefs and reported on activities in our ministries. There was excellent communication and i'm sure we can accomplish great things next term.
