Day 1 - INVASION!

Day 1,240, 11:09 Published in USA USA by Israel Stevens
History:
In recent days the United States has taken measures to help both themselves and Canada. The United States has sealed off New England and New York from direct invasion by either Spain or Poland. This should give them an area to operate from, should the unthinkable happen. Also, Canada gains resources that they needed, strengthening the economies of one of America's closest allies.

Day 1

North America
WAR! Spain already occupied Maryland, but Day 1 saw the twin pronged invasions of Mexico and Poland. Mexican forces were able to secure New Mexico with ease (8-1). Mexico then launched an attack on Oklahoma. It would appear that the Arkansas Grain, is their first objective.

Spain was able to fend off the American attack on Alentejo and have countered with an attack on Virginia. The only resources Spain does not possess are Cattle and Oil. In all likelihood we will see Spain try and move towards Illinois and Missouri (oil and cattle).
Poland is occupying Delaware and are currently blocked from attacking by their Allies Spain and Canada.

South America
After losing North of Brazil to Spain, Brazil regained initiative and was able to liberate the region, and push back across the ocean, conquering the Canary Islands, and then attacking the Spanish Mainland. The attack on Adalucia was a close one, but in the end, Spain was able to hold on (8-6).

Western Europe
France is down to three regions, two of which are under attack. France has seen limited success against Spain, but has been completely helpless against Polish aggression. France will more than likely be completely occupied in the coming days.
Germany is down to two regions, and is completely surrounded by Poland. The Polish have eased up on Germany of late, although we could see a renewal of hostilities between the two.

That's a lot of pink...

Overall Analysis
Things are dire in Western Europe and in North America. The losses by EDEN and TERRA are not over yet. Look for more aggression by ONE as they try and press their current overwhelming advantage.
The only bright spot has been Brazil, who are matched 1v1 with Spain, and have been able to stand toe to tow with the Spaniards.
