Congress?

Congress?
The 25th is rolling around as fast as ever and now is the time to decide if I am willing to serve my new country in a way I have done for every other country in my e-life. It is not an easy decision, as being in Congress can be quite a hassle, with all the political infighting that we can never seem to avoid.

Nevertheless, I’ll put my head on the block. This is where I stand.

Firstly, I stand with the Canadian Progressive Front. I like their style. The party contains a high quotient of sensible and decent people.

Secondly, I don’t do forums. I play eRepublik, not forum games and their silly rules. What Plato gives, no forum can take away.
For those who say that the sky will fall if Congress members don’t use the forum, you have an awfully low horizon and heavy blinkers. People know where to find me. You want my vote, just ask, as well as giving me good reasons to vote in a particular way.
If I want to propose a law, I will. No one can stop me. The fact is, I have better things to do than post stupid proposals. If I want to impeach someone, I’ll do it, if I have the numbers. Otherwise, why waste my time and yours?
I will never support any tax proposal that goes higher than 5% and I’d need a darn good case to support it even that far.
My citizenship approvals would be mine and I’ll dispense approvals as I please. If you think that any enemy will be let in the gate by me, think again. However, failing to bring new citizens into the country is just as bad as letting in enemies. Go read the wiki on citizenship sometime.

As a member of Congress, I’ll be there to defend the country, make the executive accountable and vote the right way on important questions. End of story.

If this is not acceptable, the party president does not have to endorse me or give me a winnable spot on the ticket. Fine. Remember what you are doing, either way. And remember that I have a memory as well!

What you are getting is a player with four and a half years of experience, 17 terms in various Congresses, long military experience and also as a military unit commander, plus someone who knows how to write and use the pen more effectively than the sword.

Please consider my offer of service.
