This is the first official article that this newspaper, Modern Common Sense, will publish to the online American community. This week’s article will give four tips that seem to be common knowledge, yet people always need a reminder no matter what the position they have in the game. I want to give Brazilenio5 credit on giving me permission to use his article for my start.

THE FOUR COMMON SENSE TIPS

Tip #1: Remind yourself to come back to this game daily. This is how your citizen will grow. By working, training, and simply taking a look around the game will allow you to gain money, resources, strength and experience or knowledge (however you like to call it). All of this will be needed in your career of erepublik. You will use these resources to fight and to gain energy to do various tasks on the game.

NOTE: For every thirty (30) days that you play, you will gain the Hard Worker which awards five (5) gold. For every two hundred fifty (250) strength gained, you will gain the Super Soldier award that gives five (5) gold. You will need to have a good amount of strength to be able to fight in battles between different countries.

Tip #2: You should save up your gold to be able to upgrade your training grounds and so get more strength daily. Save up your money as well to ensure that you can buy needed items in any situation. You gain valuable gold when you complete achievements (you can see them once you click your avatar and under the word achievements, you can see what you need to do as to complete a achievement and gain gold.

NOTE: To gain money you hover your cursor over the Market tab and then with then click on Job Market. You will then choose a job and you can access it in the My Places tab under Companies. It will show the Gross Salary, the Work Tax, and the energy that it will consume. You will work daily until you get fired, you retire from the job or until there are no more funds from the person who hired you. You click the work button to get your pay (Gross Salary - Tax) and you are done with the work of the day.

Tip #3: To get food and weapons you need to produce it (you can also buy them, but producing them is cheaper). To produce this go to the My Places tab and select Companies. Scroll down to My Companies and select all of your companies and click the Start Production button at the bottom of the page, Now you have weapons, food and if you have the correct combo of buildings, raw materials. Come back the next day to make more money and resources.

NOTE: With the feature added on day 2,492 you can now work overtime and make more money daily. This feature will require you to use 24 overtime points, which are gained in the house feature, which you must build and expensive to buy.

Tip #4: Now that you know the basics you can do this and grow your knowledge in the game:
-Join a Military group (This allows you to improve your fighting in conflicts)
-Create a newspaper (This allows you to share what you learn)
-Join a political party (This allows you to run for congress and Country President)
-Look over forums (You learn even more information in the forums than anywhere else)

NOTE: You can ask players that have a lot of game experience and learn from them as well!
