Join the new world

It seems in this game, perhaps more so in the eUSA, every few years there comes a defining moment as we look toward the future of our eNation. This is one of those times.

Currently the eUSA government, or a group of agents there of, have formally ended any in game participation of our elected congress by attempting to create a dictator to run the country. More to the point, even now a small group of individuals, sometimes formally in government, sometimes not, actually already control the government via secret, elite, appointed committees and organizations. This small core group sets the course of action of the government it appears, not your elected congressmen. They control the treasury and receive the deposit of tax funds. They choose when they will not abide by democratic procedures. They make rulings on the requirements to pass legislation, and then if they are dissatisfied with the outcome of the vote, after the fact change the rules of the vote. If they cannot get what they want because of the formal structures of government, they us subterfuge and deceit to bring about their end.

This group was preparing to start the dictatorship even if congress did not approve the action. For that matter the bill that ‘passed’ is unconstitutional in that it counters powers and roles of government defined by the governing document itself.

In this latest governmental crisis this core of oligarchs decided they would overthrow the legitimate government to safeguard the nation, so they say. Using similar logic to the reason we could not have competitive, meaningful elections in game for a president for over half a year a while ago, during the so called unity presidents period, they throw about forecast of an imminent Serbian take over. The fact that procedurally this action violates the eUS Constitution does not seem to matter to these oligarchs/dictators. There also doesn't appear at this time to be any imminent Serbian action against our government.

Now they promised that congress will still exist and will be listened to by a dictator. Yeah right. Without that impeachment option to formally remove a dictator like congress can remove a president, I sincerely doubt it. And the promise of turning over the dictatorship to subsequently elected CPs, sorry folks I have been around this game for a long, long time. I have seen how presidents occasionally screw their successors that they may not like as they go out of office. Chocolate McSkittles comes to mind. Or one of a half dozen that ran away with the treasury, or ended their terms IRL prison or otherwise indisposed. Where will we be when the dictator refuses to hand over the power or abide by the directives of a Meta Congress?

Our only option at that time would be to stage a revolution in the face of a dictator that has millions and millions of our tax dollars. Now some of these oligarchs now moving to assume total power will tell you, "the dictator will not have the funds, they will be held by others; if needed they can be used to fund the revolution against a corrupt, non-compliant dictator". Well in most cases these ‘others’ are in fact the true dictators to begin with. Further right now we have a control over that, it is called impeachment and it is a function, in game, of a democratically elected congress. There will be no mechanism to address a non-compliant dictator.

The eUS Military will defend the elected, constitutional, in game government. We believe that there are many eAmericans and others that have long fought in our ranks that do not want to further concentrate taxing powers and give unbridled control of the eUSA to those that would so easily discard our democratic institutions and the safeguards they provide for real checks and balances, in game. Mere security against a supposed Serbian threat is not sufficient to move us toward an ever decreasing circle of a few folks having ever more power. This serves only to further drive eAmericans out of the game or to foreign nations.



The ultimate threat is that we are losing population quicker than some rivals, while having enviable resources. The solution to this problem is to have a tax policy, an open government policy, designed to get more folks involved in the game. Instead we have folks, some long associated with the eNation, driven away by those who would be dictators and newer players locked out of participation.

Now I make no promises of success, at least in the short term. Those seeking dictatorship have your tax dollars to buy fighters and support. However I pledge our efforts to overcoming this dictatorship and restoring some sanity to life in eUSA. I ask those serving in the eUS Military to support our efforts as well as other eAmericans perhaps associated with MUs that are being called on to prosecute this coup. We cannot prevent foreign fighters from joining to fight to assist the lawful eUSA government. Certainly we recognize that some are in fact ex pat eAmericans that have already left the eNation for reasons similar to those presenting at this time, or perhaps others are just democratic loving individuals from around the eWorld, we welcome this assistance. To those concerned that MUs such as ours that openly oppose the dictatorship may become an avenue for those seeking to play a trouble making role in this matter, rest assured we will police our ranks for any of this type of intrusion. I say this as I know those seeking dictatorship will accuse us of such. To them I say, who are you using your cash offers to bring into this fight? Do we need Serbian tanks here on our taxpayer’s dime to install an illegitimate dictator?

Word of the week: Dictatorship

I’m sure you all have heard about the new feature that allows a dictatorship government, if you haven’t refer to this page.

This seems like a great idea! You don’t need a bunch of congressmen who cannot agree on one thing and just make quick decisions. You don’t need to worry about PTO’s and would reduce useless political “he said, she said” chatter. This to me seem like a great way to keep smaller vassal countries in check and under your command. Though that is too simple and straightforward strategy for our government as they are currently debating whether they should overthrow the government. Now let me repeat myself at this point, the government is debating if they should overthrow themselves. You might want to read that again, it seems to sound stupid but you can’t make this up!

If the government over threw itself, does that mean the eUS forums will only need one thread run by the dictator to dictate? and it will just consist of a picture of our dictator with a list of all the friends that he made rich and a list of rules to follow.
Also will the government officials who overthrew themselves place themselves in eJail? Maybe all the government officials will vow loyalty to the dictator by joining their MU to escape beheadings and/or jail time.
What will happen to all the political parties? Will the dictator allow multiple parties or will we be forced to endure under a united party controlled by the dictator? The political party president will be our dictator providing us with a link to the one thread in the eUS forums.

How will be affect my freedom of speech, will I be able to point fingers at our beloved, honourable, majestic, heroic dictator without the fear of being beheaded? As you can see I have already started sucking up to our dictator so that I can keep my newspaper alive and maybe get a bone with some meat on it thrown by way. 😉

Not sure what you all think but I like the power that congress has to impeach a president when they start turning into a dictator, lets stop this madness of appointing a beloved, honourable, majestic, heroic dictator that will keep us at this mercy.
