Can you spare some Change?

Day 2,952, 13:08 Published in USA USA by Jimmy Cincinnati

Issue #108

Change is something that any party can throw around. Drop a few names and you might even get somebody to cosign, but what's new? Here's what SFP DID, recently:

We are the newest party to top #5.
We have had many party presidents that never resided over a top #5 party; myself included.
The Party President, me, is a guy that couldn't get into congress for years.
We put a guy that was never in congress at the top of our ballot, last month.
We have a constitution that was revised, last month.

So, you can see why I'm a believer. The tide goes in and out, but sometimes, it changes the landscape.
Thanks for Reading.

Editor's Notes:
As we pump out articles, as we read the forum, as we toil on tedious mind numbing tasks and as we lay our reputations on the line for our leadership; you have to wonder will they be there when you we need them?

There are plenty of people in the eUS, with common interests, that could thrive, but the establishment continues it's efforts to distinguish; Uses and Thems.
As they send their cavity dogs to root out all dissention; they run the risk of alienating too much of the population. The establishment believes that opposing the dictator is dangerous, but I argue that it's dangerous to alienate a large part of the population and the eUS is going to end up with a butt-hurt dictator. As the congress defector from WTP has shown; It leads to political unrest.
The bigger picture is; they might lose relevancy for any rules. There is no authority to enforce them. That's not why we follow the rules. We follow rules based on goodwill and good intentions. We follow the rules, because we believe, naively perhaps, that they help create a level playing-field. However, laws do not always create a level playing-field. I think this is a good example of that.

The solution isn't always clear, but I point to the vitality of SPF's political environment as evidence of our effort to find the answer and do it in an honest, transparent, way. Some people don't want to see anything happen. (Maybe, it suits their personal interests?) As a rising star; the nature of the SFP is not to sit idle.

Party Presidential Announcement:
I've sent messages to many of the party presidents and all the top 5 Party Presidents; in an attempt at diplomacy. Some of them are no longer is service and some of them are screening their calls. The BS, the Feds and Worker Gang replied with decent timing. Oblige replied, the day after, with a series of question marks?
I'll be working closely with Black Sheep and Old FU. Arrden was the only top #5 PP that answered and understood what was happening. George Armstrong Custer and ubuntu21 were pretty cool, too.

There is a congressional primary in the forum. I'll be issuing absentee ballots as well, so people may vote in-game. Those votes won't be used, unless it's a tie, or there is suspicion that the forum votes are compromised. We have a huge turnout in this election, so go and vote. Stop Reading!

We have , also increased activity in the Bear Cavalry and taken part in some joint operations. I hope we have a little for everyone. If not, please ask for it. I'll be sending out another survey.
