Brothers In Arms

I'ld like to share some of the best anti-war poems per my opinion. Here is the second one, from the best R'N'R band in history (per my opinion), Dire Straits.

This one is also special to me because it was used as a music background for a video created from real Croatian war video-recordings taken by our war cameraman Gordan Lederer, killed by Serbs forces just a few days after he made it.

R.I.P. Gordan.

Here is the video spot he has made, with Brothers In Arms as a music background (I think better than original clip):

And finally, here is a Croatian version of this song, which was very popular in our defense forces during the Homeland war:

I think that this song is very interesting due to it's usage in real resistance war and it's influence to army moral.

I hope you will enjoy! xD

MAKE LOVE & MAKE WAR... GET MARRIED xD

Songwriters: KNOPFLER, MARK

These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Some day you'll return to me
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn
To be brothers in arms

Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
I've witnessed all your suffering
As the battle raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms

There's so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Now the sun's gone to hell
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We're fools to make war
On our brothers in arms
