Behind enemy lines

Day 3,159, 03:57 Published in Australia Australia by Gueneo

The alarm sounds. It has become a habit, It's always hard to get up, but I know that out there there is the need for soldiers. It looks like a war without end, but that doesn't bother me strangely, as if this is a dream, as if out of this there is something worse.

We (the younger) fight in less important areas, but we know we are part of the whole. Every meter gained is useful for the victory. Orders arrive on time and we try to follow them. We have learned to know our teammates in the battlefield. We know also that at rest periods there will be some soldiers to patrol the areas conquered. The allies aren't lacking, and with them we share this routine.

The air today is slightly different, more electric. Rumour has it that new means of combat will be put into production by allies and enemies, means of combat by air. Something for which no one was ever trained before. It seems that with these new means will allow us (the younger) to be more decisive, with clashes one by one involving veterans. A new area that can give us an advantage in any battles. But we also know that there are areas on the ground to defend.

Now it's late, the day was tough and all thoughts start to fade. F**k the airplanes, I think it's time to rest.
