Join the new world

A machine can have many different components with their own specific duties, but failing to keep it clean and working towards a common goal will cause it to cease. The Canadian Progressive Front is much like a machine, in that we have many different members who come from different walks of life, and hold different positive attributes. And like a machine, we must remain fresh by constantly discussing issues and concerns, while taking actions to move forward. We have our faults, like everyone else, but we work on these and improve ourselves every day.

We here in the CPF will continue to work at improving Canada in all aspects. To do so we will:

> Keep a positive political sphere, where citizens and Congress men and women can express their concerns, ideas and suggestions freely.

> Ensure that Canada is a selfless ally, continues to build relations with other nations, and is ready for any military action.

> Hold our government accountable in all spending aspects, and that we remain financially stable.

> Create helpful programs for Canadians who require food and weapons for fighting, while retaining new players in this game.

> Have some fun, write different articles, hold contests, create events or whatevers!



Introductions

Greetings, my name is Auk Rest, you may know me as such (or as Auk or Aukrest) and I am here today to tell you why you should vote for me to be in Congress and my party, Canadian Progressive Front. Even though Congressmen are no longer elected alone, I feel writing Congress articles are even more important before so the voters can know who their possibly future representatives are.

I have a very simple platform I will be running on and attempt to implement as a Congressman. I am not running for Congress to get another medal in my cabinet or another 5 gold to spend on baubles. Recent observations of Congress has shown it to be completely inept and my platform is going to be based upon changing this. Without further ado, this is what I wish to accomplish.

Repeal the Congressional Blacklist

Great in theory, absolutely dreadful in practice, the Congressional Blacklist was formulated as a way to keep toxic players out of Congress, but has devolved into ugly partisanship. I have written a previous article about the Blacklist so I won't go into too much detail right now about it, but I support its full repeal and will work on spearheading an effort to destroy it. MU Funding

One of the central principles of the Canadian Progressive Front is to support the equality of all active eCanadian military units. Before our 8 month wipe by Spain, MUs used to receive government funding to help fighters and MUs, if elected, I will work on this issue and see if there is room in the budget for at least some allocation of MU funding.

Open and Accountable Government

Another principle of the CPF is to make government accountable to the people. If elected I will be sure to write updates on what Congress is doing so that everyone can understand what is happening without having to necessarily dig through the Open Door Congress forum.

Speaking

If elected, I intend to run for Speaker of Congress because I believe the current Speaker is completely inept and know I could do a much better job. I was Speaker of our first Congress since the wipe and was a Speaker noob, but I know what I did wrong and how I can be much more successful, and quite frankly almost anyone could do a better job than Muglack has been doing right now.

Well, there you have it, this is my individual platform for Congress. In addition to the above, you will of course be getting everything you would for any Canadian Progressive Front congressman, an honest, efficient and capable representative for you in Congress. No matter your in game affiliation, the CPF remains as the best stewards of government of eCanada and you will not be disappointed if you cast your vote for us on the 25th.

Qualifications

If you are not convinced by my platform without knowing a little bit more about me, then I will oblige you. Unlike other politicians I don't really like promoting my own personal self that much.I would prefer if you cast your vote based on what my ideas are. I cringe every time I see somebody with a 'wall of achivements' on their profile page, I really didn't need to know you were Deputy ePostmaster General of the Ontario post office 1 term May 2012-June 2012, so I avoid this sort of thing for myself, I'll keep it brief.

If elected this will be my eighth term in Congress, so I know what I'm doing in Congress. I have also been Party President of Canadian Progressive Front for 5 times ever since I rejoined eRepublik in the spring of 2012, and have been a member ever since I joined Canada 3 years ago, you can trust my judgement and that I will make good decisions.
