Armenia's New Draft of the Constitution Gives Citizens The Right To Hold a Referendum

The Specialized Committee on Constitutional Reforms has recently published the newly updated preliminary draft of 1-15 chapters of the constitution. The Examiner reports that the newly updated preliminary draft of the previously mentioned chapters of the Constitution has been officially published on the Ministry of Justice's official website for public debates.

The 8th chapter of the newly updated draft of the Constitution refers to Prosecution & Investigative agencies.

The 9th chapter of the Constitution now refers to Armenia's local/regional governments & now defines that the communities may now merge into inter-community unions that aims to increase their productiveness. Inter-Community unions can also be formed by law for public interests. The National Assembly has obliged to hear the opinions of those communities when adopting their respective laws.
