It was in very far past, at the time of misunderstanding among people. We have to much ideas and less time to solve problem, but everyone think that his idea is perfect solution. In this moment I didn't understand others, but now I understand them, but don't understand myself.
In the seventh book of the dialogue Republic, Plato tells the story Allegory of the cave, the story about acceptance or non acceptance of others' opinions and ideas, which we will continue to say that what we see, is little reality for everyone in the seat.
In the first part we can see the slaves in chains , which closed in the cave with their heads fixed to the wall. They can not turn your head in any direction and have never seen anything to the wall in front of them . Behind them are the stairs to the top of which was burned campfire.
As a result of these fires occur in their shadows on the wall in front of them, and they understand that the shadow of an object faithful representative of this object. If we set the curtain behind them , just enough to not see their shadows, we can give them a real little show. Plato did so . He raises the curtain behind them and the people who walking behind the curtain liquids in the hands of the figures of animals and plants made of wood or stone. Thanks to the blind people can not see , but only this figure, which makes them real to observers in chains.
Then Plato comes the idea to release a slave from the hardware is let him see the world that had previously been inaccessible. Freed from the chains of a slave is the first time he saw her body , and then their co-sufferers associated with the head pointed at the wall. See also show that everything is actually an illusion. Then he goes a step further , get out , and the first time in his life he sees the beauty of nature and the sun . This scene he lavishes impressions and admiration , but also the fear and confusion, it blinds the sun its splendor. Most gladly would go back to my cave and enjoyed the illusion.
Then Plato rightly asks: what would have become a free man to become a slave?
If a man who dedicated his whole life to prove the light of the sun wants to rope in a dark cave and capture in chains with a fixed head to look at the wall will have the same problem. The first will go blind darkness , vision will begin to put the fog , although impressed by the illusion of shadows, roundworms by fear when they think that the effort would have to give up the freedom of movement. Very soon will want to come out of the cave and continue his old life.
The story , on an archaic way of talking about how difficult it is for people to change their habits. Even if it would mean progress or an amazing endeavor , one can not be so easily into the adventure of change opinions or ideas. a simple example , you put yourself in that position , imagine your world without religion , or no holidays ... Well , imagine your world without something for which you know that you considered or to be slowing down, but despite that you do it for some reason.
