A Noob trying Foreign Affairs

Friends and Countrymen,

I have been reading a lot recently in eRep and trying to build my knowledge on Current Affairs. Also, I have been long enough in the game to try and see through the path that our eNation follows or is willing/trying to follow. When I entered the game we were friends with Croatia. We were supposedly back stabbed (though our “friends” during that period tried to show it the other way) and our territories captured.

Then came our other oppressors, Albania and BiH. India remained wiped and without Congress for a long time. In the mean time we made friends, we lost friends, we made enemies, we tried negotiating with enemies to change them to friends.

Then came a surprise update from Plato and eIndia is back on the map (of course with the help from allies and friends). Now, eIndia needs to chart a new plan for its future. Does it want to remain in a hostile environment, or it wants to win friends and try to improve its stature from a weak nation to a one whom everyone counts in this New World?

I have seen elders and seniors (in eRep) discuss about our alliances and friendships with other nation. I have my own views and through this article I want to present my view on the future path that my eNation should choose in this New World.

Let us just have a check on the Current Status of India’s allies.

Poland
Iran
Spain
Moldova
Belarus
Taiwan

From recent articles, we have come to know that the grand alliance TWO might be on the verge of breakdown. There might be two sides in the future – 1st having Serbia and 2nd having Poland and Spain. It would be in India’s interest to choose a side soon and start work on building relation in that aspect. I would like the new government to focus on strengthening our relationship with the current (above listed) allies and would also like to see alliances with the following nations in the future:

New Zealand & Australia – These 2 nations have the potential to be long term friends of India.
Greece – Another powerhouse in eRep who should be pursued for a better relationship.
South Africa – Small nation like us but getting back to its feet. We can help each other rebuild our worlds.
UAE – Another small nation constantly under occupation, has a lot to gain from MPP with us then to give.

With the changing scenario in the eWorld, it would be prudent to have a view point on potential partners that we can have in the future. I would like to see alliances with the following nations in the future (if not now):

China – They have been our friends before and we do not hold any grudges. So why not sign an MPP with them.
Indonesia – They are close to our past enemies, but in the changing scenario you never know which side they move on to.
USA – Even if we have to be friends informally, they are a good option to have on our side
Bulgaria – They have been our friends in the past and can be trusted for the future

Last but not the least,

Pakistan – Both nations can benefit a lot from a long term settlement of grudges an try building a partnership in New World. Imagine a scenario where India-Pak-China are friends. We can rule the eWorld together. Let us be friends in eWorld if not in Real World 

Though I have elaborated a lot regarding alliances and other nations, I still consider myself a noob when it comes to building foreign relations. This was just a suggestion from a concerned citizen. I would always welcome comments and suggestions from all aspiring CPs and experienced Citizens.
