A National recruitment scheme
Lord commisar brown
Hello readers, I noticed on dmv's platform that he had a plan to use Facebook advertisements to gather eCanadians, I have to say this was a good idea but on a large scale many people would be reluctant to use real money to do this method.
I'm not a congressmen nor have I followed politics or the game long, but I have studied the population trend and election trend of ecanada, the normal loss of voters has been averaged at 50 per election. The overall erepublik community has took losses too from my research.
Players seem to be the most valuable thing to our country when 10 players can swing a cp election. I'd like to see what the veteran player base has for ideas on a recruitment scheme, I have some of my own but I would like to see the veterans ideas first so I can weight mine against them

There's not much to be done, I'm afraid. There's such disparity between new players and veterans than I'm amazed, quite frankly, that any new player sticks around.
I'm trying to convince a few friends to start playing, the new players are alot weaker yes and the game does take time, but there has to be a way we can make this game more appealing to new players
mentor programs are a good way to make connections between old and new players, but it still doesn't fix the strength and income gap between them.
Two things: First, advertising to join eCanada might be expensive since theres an RL election going on. Second, eRep is kinda a crappy game anyway, so retention is hard, and Third, I can't count, and Fourth, the plan was part of an overall tax scheme - get the warm bodies in, tax em to death as they die of natural causes anyway. Without the tax scheme, and without eRep really being a game that can retain new people at this point, throwing money at the problem at this point is just a waste.
It sucks that players feel the need to advertise a game for the owners
Any social media avenue, from facebook to twitter, may lead to more players if someone is willing to let people know they play this, ive had 3 family members try it and all of them quit soon after.
Also maybe a government sponsored immigration campaign targeting other countries media may yield some
I don't honestly think that it's our responsibility to advertise erepublik to people. It should be erepublik labs' responsibility as part of their marketing budget.
