Consolidation of the US Armed Forces
This report is brought to you directly from the Presidential Daily Briefings

There has been a lot of conversation done include a massive PM chain and a roughly five hour long meeting relating to logistics to talk about what the "actual" plan is here, but Gnilraps has asked me to explain it to the best of my abilities while he is teaching class.

1. The plan is to consolidate the Special Forces, Ultramarines, AirForce-Flight Training, and Civ MU under one roof top that will completely abolish the old meta, except for nostalgia purposes.
2. The focus of the unit will be to maximize usage of in game mechanics and firepower.
3. We estimate the unit will have between and active soldiers depending on how many we lose in the move (should be less than 10😵.
4. Leadership is composed basically of the most senior / capable officers in the USAF presently.
5. Communes will be held by
6. We'll be running people solely in Q7 tank communes / Q5 WRM materials to reduce overhead
7. There will be three supply tiers: 4 drops of 8 tanks for D4, 3 drops of 7 tanks for D3, 2 drops of 6 tanks for D1-2. Exceptional individuals will be bumped up one D in the supply structure, and we are still discussing an "elite tier."
8. Up to 1,000 wellness a day of food will be available in D1-2
9. We will be borrowing the SF "tanks for tanking" program (unlimited tanks for massive damage done in critical battles) and will make sure it is open for priority battles.
10. Tank QMing will be handled from an org, food QMing will be handled with distributed QM system
11. All produced goods will flow through a Logistics Officer so accurate commune records can be maintained
12. There will be a Military Police system established that will liaise with the CIA, AMP Security, Fed FBI, EZC FBI, eUS Mil OMS, and any other vigilante groups to weed out multis, PTOers, and other non desirables. They'll also be responsible for scouting misbehaving soldiers and those abusing the commune system.
13. There will be a media department responsible for advertising the MU and its accomplishments, etc.
14. During booster weeks we'll be running at least 2 boosters a day- hopefully coordinated with a mass attack.
15. We have a new uniform design and media kit.

Then and Now: War Module
Alexander_Auctoritas

Today we take a peak at the erepublik war module through the years.

Beta

The Beta version of fighting was a 1 on 1 module. I was not around to see it.

You can learn all about it HERE. I'm not going to pretend to teach about what I know nothing.

V1 - The layered wall

This is the version I came into when I started playing. It was pretty straighforward. You pushed through six layers of wall to get to the defender's bunker. Either you had enough damage or you didn't. It allowed for the strategy that many of us miss called "Mass Attacks."

Mass Attacks were used near the end of the timer to coordinate a lot of damage in a little bit of time. You could destroy bunkers or build back up defenses on a massive scale, in a short time frame.

Hospitals

V1, V2, and V3 allowed the use of Hospitals. Their efficacy varied from version to version, but basically you got free health or energy to allow you to fight more. When used on a massive scale, it could have a ton of damage to a battle. We used to move people to other countries and 'steal' their hospitals. It was fun. Fight against them, steal their health, move home and fight more. Profit.

Defense Systems

Used in V1, V2, and somewhat in V3 (shields), these would add bonuses to your region based on their quality. In V2, they would add bonuses to units in the area.

Erepublik has discontinued the use of hospitals and defense systems as they once were. We just get the National Shield tournaments periodically now.

V2 - Capping tiles

By far, my favorite module in erepublik, V2 was something that people either loved or hated. You could literally spend hours on a battlefield. The beauty for me was the face to face interface. I fought and killed Ernesto Che, Emerick, and countless others. It was so much fun, it was a shame to see it go.

During this version, I had the pleasure of being in the Calvary Rangers. I was a soldier for a bit, then became the CO of the Rangers Team 1. I loved those guys: Avruch, Deepchill, Ethix, RustyCage and many, many more. We got to run special operations on the battlefields, such as streaking across the bottom or top of the map to take strategic points, thereby allowing our troops to drop in behind us. This version saw some real strategy to the game, Tanks/Helicopters/Artillery/Rifleman or Infantry. Each had a bonus vs a nother type of unite and bonuses for terrain.

One of the most epic battles of V2 was for FER. I will never forget those moments, sitting in the channel that shall not be named listening to jankems scream "Cap FU**ING TILES!" And we did it. We won an battle which we could have lost, and it was epic. It marked a turning point for Phoenix and Russian/American relations.

3> Erepublik Rising. I will miss you forever.

v3 - WALLS or Points

We slowly moved toward the system we have now.

It began with a series of eight battles, using the percentages we have now. There was a two hour timer, and we still employed MASS ATTACKS. We could smash into a wall in the last minutes and swing it by 10-20%. I recall us having as many as 100 people in our Military channel on occasion. It was great using mass attacks. It fostered comradery, coordination, and you got to meet a lot of great people.

When they changed it to point system, the MASS ATTACK effectively died. The Only strategy left is attempting to swing a battle after 1:15 so the point values are higher. But, with the ability to build up such a substantial wall, this is a high risk/high reward strategy that the eUSA does not employ.

Gone are the hospitals.
Gone are the defense systems.
Gone are Mass attacks.
No More can you retreat from battle.
Region swaps are next to impossible.
Renting is difficult.

Erepublik has changed a lot over the years, but we are still here. Enjoy the Show.

American Hero
TellUrGrlThx

Today we honor another Hero in our government, an American Hero. This hero is very known by noobs for his current work in DoI, especially in BU2SU. BU2SU is DoI's gold giving away program that gives out gold for TC upgrades. This Hero recently took on the project this month and has already given out an amazing amount of gold to participants, much more than it has in the past. Surely the participants are very grateful for this hero. So we would like to honor today's American Hero...

Trickstir! He truly has done a great job on top of his BU2SU work he has also helped with Gnilrap's new DoI project program "Stack the Wall." A program that also gives out gold to players who need it in a MU through the shout feed. We congratulate you, Trickstir, on being an American Hero!

NORTH USA or GREELINGADA looks beautiful

1. The United Kingdom doesn't look any better than it did last week. Finland is being a real bully. At least the UK is only dealing with one front. The UK has just secured. Maybe they will find a way to win a RW and some regions in the correct order to close the WAR?

2. Ireland is not really getting anywhere with Slovenia, but they are managing to stay in Europe. I hope they are having fun. I don't recall them being in Europe like this ever.

3. Venezuela and Mexico are attempting to duo Portugal, and to her credit Portugal is holding them both off quite well.

4. Spain is doing great work against Argentina. Incidentally, Argentina has lost her holdings in the Baltics. Good win for SIRIUS.

5. Take a look at Chile, she is spread out all over the place. Currently not involved in any wars, but they are poised to get involved at a moment's notice. They are doing great work, just being there.

6. Germany is having a tough time with Sweden. I'm not sure if they really care or not, but Sweden has marred the main continent and needs to be removed.

7. Look at how cute Hungary looks. 😉

Europe has some of the same battles as old as time, such as Croatia and Serbia; and we have Ireland and Chile having fun on the main continent. Sweden and Finland are being pests, while Portugal defends itself against two attackers. SIRIUS and ASTERIA are engaged in one of the most balanced Wars we've seen in years, World War 7. We will see how long WW7 goes on before someone gets a substantial upper hand.
