Greetings, eAmerica. Tom and I are still here, fighting the good fight.
Economic Advice from the Economic Council
Kemal Ergenekon
Tips for Economic Success:
1) Raze the grain farms given to you at the beginning of the game - you are better off getting the money.
2) Training grounds are the best investment in the game; better than any of the firms in terms of return on investment. You should save your money as gold up until there is a training grounds sale. When there is a sale, first try to upgrade the free training center to Q4. Then move onto the next tiers. When you have all your training centers at maximum level, and when you buy a 90% training contract, you will not only cover all your training costs with the super soldier medal gold rewards, but also make a tidy profit!
3) When you have more money, you should invest in Q5 WRM or FRM firms (rubber plantations or hunting lodges). This gives you the best return on investment, and the average work tax you pay will be the lowest compared to your revenue.
4) You can evade work tax as an employee. In order to do this, you need to find an employer that you can trust, and ask him to donate you your wage instead of paying it with the game's employment mechanism. This way, you can save nearly 10% of your wage. You can also enroll in a commune where this is mostly the case.
World Conditions and eUS Foreign Affairs
As Molly alluded to in her campaign for a second term, the State Department has been hard at work developing both new and old relations in the wake of our loss of Sirius membership. Many citizens are anxiously waiting an official announcement of what that means for our battle plans.
In talking with President Molly Emma and Secretary of State Wild Owl, the major takeaway from the discussion was that talks are ongoing with our contacts in a number of countries. Molly also made it clear that due to the ever-changing conditions in Europe and the battles there, our own battle plans have been necessarily put into a holding pattern this week to ensure we are available to our allies.
It is difficult to put a deadline on things like Foreign Affairs as the conditions that affect is rarely stay unchanged from where plans began. I can assure you that the Executive is working diligently to secure the borders of the United States and also increase our economic prosperity.

You're not "Sirius" anymore and you didn't care...what's wrong with you eUSA? :I
That's some sharp advice from the Econ Corner!
Econ Corner!!!!!
Rubbers are more profitable than Aluminium mines? By simply economy? (Not counting the fact you need to work in more comp's if you have Aluminiums''s)
While the purchase cost per output is lowest for Q3, the daily energy and WAM tax cost is lowest with Q5.
Voted for sound advice.

SHIELDs UP
If your TGs are fully upgraded and you are looking to get Q5 factories, is it best to save and buy from the marketplace or upgrade your own factory? Both painfully slow, but I'm thinking with doing my own upgrades I can at least have something to sell/do?
You cannot buy raw materials factories from other players, so you have to buy them from the admins. There has been a 44% discount for raw materials companies in the past, but it is extremely rare.
How about employees? Should I bother hiring if all I have is Q2 food?
No. Check out erepublikanalyzer.com and look at the manufacturing profitability section. You'll find that in general, anything less than Q5 food is not profitable with employees.
Also, Oblige admitted last night that he told the admins never to do a raw sale again because it throws off his whale groove. So blame him for that.

Alright DMJ, the penguins may be the the best Tom Hanksimals I've seen yet. You earned my vote today.
Oh, and the WHPR, that was good too.
Tom and I are most pleased to acquire your vote.
