[VP] [Congress] Motion to Decrease Income Taxes
Niko Snow
Greetings Canada,
With the conclusion of the Clan Wolf Census for August, I would like to propose a motion to decrease the current Income Tax rates, on further inspiration with thanks to Plugson, the most neutral and friendly of CPF Congressmembers.
This is to increase the direct profits of individual Canadians, and ergo, increase their spending capacity, allowing them to better afford the goods they want and need.
As a reminder, the current rates are:
Income Tax: 10%
I propose setting the bar at:
Income Tax: 5%
As per Canadian law I will hold this article as the beginning of the 24 hour discussion period to consider the opinions of other citizens and Congressmen prior to proposing this law change in Congress.
Sincerely yours,
Tyrael Snow

I'll second the motion, and not just because of the blatant flattery in this article.
As much as I would like this personally because having more money for myself is always good, aren't the eCanadian coffers a tad bit to low at the moment? (Do note I understand the theory of "If we lower taxes people will spend more, and in turn, we'll get more money back in the long term" which in real life has usually been a failure, but I've never monitored eRepublikan economics as much, so I may be wrong?)
Ketamine, what you say is true. eCanada needs the cash and should be raising taxes but unlike RL, people here have a lot more freedom.
If you spend 20 CAD hopping over to the USA, you earn 97 CAD/CC per day compared to 61 CAD/CC in eCanada. In one day, you already earn 10 CAD more after paying moving costs.
Also, with higher prices in eCanada markets, you may as well stay in eUSA and buy their lower priced products.
Q7 = 50 CAD vs 43 USD
To be honest, the game is stacked against eCanada due to our low productivity bonuses vs high trollery. Not much can attract people to work and spend money here except a sense of loyalty or lack of awareness of their options getting jobs and buying product elsewhere.
eCanada can't collect more taxes when our wages and markets are so uncompetitive against a 20 CAD moving fee. Taxation won't get us out of this mess. Only productivity bonuses will. Yet, we can't even secure a Training War.
I say burn Canada to the ground and start over. Maybe call it Westeros?
Bring income tax down to 1% what does the government need the money for other than MPP?
1) There are no social programs.
2) MU funding is a joke, can't someone please tell with numbers what competitive advantage our fighters gain from this additional funding? Say 300 more damage per player per day? Is it worth it?
3) Ambasador Corps? Seriously, just read Shoi's newspaper all the info you need to know is there.
i would totally vote for this if i was a congressman! 😛
yep, it's the middle of the month, time to start tinkering with taxes again.
I will buy this argument, with the provisio that I can get a full rebate.
