[UK CP] MEK exits/The UK's Dictator and Liberation (don't just fight for the UK)

MEK exits/The UK's Dictator
You might be aware that MEK has handed the UK Dictatorship back over to a UK citizen (a citizen that tanked over 2 billion damage against MEK). Scarfar the UK's current Dictator simply paid Freegigi (the MEK Dictator) to give him control of the Dictatorship MU. This was an inspired action and one I had considered but dismissed due to not trusting Freegigi.
Scarfar wants the UK to hold a referendum so he knows who to hand power over too. I support this idea. The Party Presidents (PP) have been coming up with a constitution (basically guidelines that any future UK Dictator) with the aim to make sure the Dictator knows what is, and is not expected of him. I disagree with the version they have made as it hands a lot of power to the Dictator creating a third tier of government. Three layers of government are not effective and this is added bureaucracy. I feel a version Mr Woldy has created gives the UK more appropriate guidelines: the Dictator presses the buttons on behalf of the CP and congress. You can view the 'other constitution' here: http://tinyurl.com/OtherUKCon
Liberation
The UK has recently regained Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. However there is only one more region we want to take back from our Canadian and German allies (who have been blocking France from attacking us). We can take back the North East of England from Germany but after that we want Germany to hold Yorkshire and Humberside and we want Canada to hold North West of England and West Midlands. If a RW is started in any of these regions fight against the UK.
Continue to fight for the UK in RW's against France, but I would advise not sponsoring RW's against France until you have checked that the UK government either can raise support from allies or MU Commanders can set CO. You are welcome to start 'random' RW's against France, but why not fight smart and be sure of a RH medal?
MU's: Use you feeds to communicate, set up mass PM's so everyone is informed and fight smart.
MPP's
As you will have seen our MPP list is increasing. This is because of our hard working MoFA (and our allies seeing they are needed). It is expected France will attack the UK via an MPPed war as soon as a border between our two nations appears. Therefore we are seeking to build up our MPP stack to avoid losing our country.
Comments
To clarify my position; I am not necessarily pro-legislating a Dictator position, but the alternate Constitution I have written and circulated was done so that if Congress/PP's feel there should be legislation an alternate Constitution with a powerless (rather than powerful) Dictator was available to be discussed.
This is a game right? We are not 70 year old men in House of Lords. Act your age man.
*spends all spare time attacking someone on a browser game*
*tells them to act like an adult*
Inb4 monies gone.
what monies?
keep up the monies already gone
I think for fairness Max should have added a link to the version the PPs have been agreeing on for clear transparency. Here is a link

On a personal level I am not sure what is happening with this government. I have been helping Sambo223 run the MoD and what you have mentioned was agreed days ago. I think if you are still the acting CP you need to setup a chain of command and get in touch with the people who have stepped up and kept the orders and levels of communication going.
Also what is happening with the UK money?
I saw an article claiming you have 50,000 is this true? and someone else has 800k is an effort being made to claw this money back?
max has the money temporarily i believe, also in regards to chain of command we have the cabinet pms going with Sambo
The British Democrats should be included !
no. they shouldnt
Given you were the one that thought we were just scaremongering for a dictatorship earlier I'm not particularly surprised you find the requirement the CP has to explain themselves as 'too powerful'
I think if people are given the choice between a pointless figurehead that does nothing and some common sense in an emergency they'll go for the latter
Are you expecting emergencies? Why not a figurehead that doesn't interfere with elected governments unless there's a crisis? Seems to be the obvious middle ground.
That is pretty much the main point of the draft Act - I don't see what is particularly authoritarian in it
If you're expecting us to trust in the common sense of those who let us down so badly in the aftermath of Wayne's appointment, then I fear a true consensus is unlikely.
Dictatorship should only exist in order to further the cause of democracy. End of.
And it should be underpinned by people who have the interests of the whole of the eUK at heart, not those who play just to get their tummy tickled.
How much longer will it take to decide how to install your dictatorship, it's no rocket science or anything...
it is for the eUK
A good dictatorship requires a good candidate. The yammering is really about finding that person. We want someone who respects the normal course of government and doesn't rob us blind.
Considering we seem to be a nation of anarchists and thieves... its tough.
I see, it will take one month then to get 10/10/6 bonus.
also "In the event of a rogue liberation, it is the role of the CP and his/her Government to ensure the revolution fails."
I'm not sure about this one. the determination for revolution side will increase in a matter of time, so if someone deliberately start a revolution, it will be meaningless to hold it. the only best option is to prepare 200k cc and start a self-coup again.
So, a simple three-question referendum then:
A: no dictator (democracy only)
B: the Appleby proposal
C: the Woldy proposal
Seems simple enough. Let's get on with it.
Option A should be disregarded. What's the point of having an option which will just lead to us being MTO'd?
some men just want to watch the world burn.. mate
If you don't offer it you end up invalidating the referendum. At least if people who support that option are given the opportunity to vote for it, they can't complain if/when it loses.
Or at least, the irony of them complaining about losing a democratic vote for democracy would be worth the laugh.
Incidentally, hopefully that's made it clear that I don't support option A.
It creates problems, what if 'Democracy' gets 20% of the vote and neither of the two other options get a majority? What happens then?
I'd much rather we have a straight referendum between the two options; or at the very least a referendum on whether to adopt the constitution Apples is pushing towards in congress.
If you don't offer option A the referendum's still valid, it's just disregarding utterly stupid and pointless options.
If it ends in deadlock, someone could always stand at the next CP election with a specific "I support Option [A/B/C]" platform.
The choice not to legislate the roles of Dictator etc should be an option
Your questions inherently bias for Democracy. B and C are a choice of two dictatorship types, which means you split the vote for dictatorship.
So, you either need two questions, or you need to count B+C together when weighing against A.
For simplicity and fairness it needs to be two questions:
1. Democracy(A) or Dictatorship (😎
2. If we have a Dictatorship, then it runs by the
Autocrat(A) or Button-Pusher(😎 Proposal.
Fair point. Another way to get over the bias for A is to say that B & C are both pro-dictator, so if their combined vote is more than that for option A, pro-dictator wins (and then the pro-dictator option with the most votes is the one chosen).
Sorry to shock ya but freegigi is a trusted citizen maybe more then ya 🙂
At least it was obvious who was running things when you were in charge.
Haven't linked Appleby's PP cabal constitution, good job at being impartial...

France can kill us with or without MPPs.
