[TUP]Congress Voting Record

Day 2,475, 08:35 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by VoodooMike71

For the purposes of transparency (and to make it look like I'm doing something), here's how I've voted on Congress proposals, and how the votes ended.

I'll continue to update this article throughout the congress term, so - if you're at all interested - make sure you come back every few days or so.

Natural Enemy: Canada (day 246😎
Proposed by: SirMorton

OK, I have to confess, I missed this one. Voting seemed to finish shortly after the Congress election was finalised, and I hadn't worked out what was going on in time. Oops. However, if I'd been better organised, I would have voted Yes, what with us being at war with them and all.

The proposal was PASSED by 25 votes to 4.

VAT & Import Taxes: Food (day 2469)
Proposed by: HendyBoi

The proposal was to raise import tax on food from 1% to 99%. I voted No, as no justification was given for making the change. While I don't have a problem with promoting eUK producers, completely cutting off imports and thus giving them a monopoly isn't the way to do it.

The proposal was REJECTED by 24 votes to 9.

MPP: USA (day 2472)
Proposed by: WayneKerr (CP)

This one was a no-brainer. With half the world launching attacks on us, committing to support from eUSA was obvious. Therefore I voted Yes.

The proposal was ACCEPTED by 37 votes to 0.

Presidential Impeachment (day 2473)
Proposed by: Malkaiser

Malkaiser (Goku Jones) ragequit a couple of days after the election, and his parting shot was an impeachment motion. Nuff said.

The proposal was REJECTED by 32 votes to 1.

There are currently three more proposals being considered (http://www.erepublik.com/en/country-administration/United-Kingdom/1, which I'll report on once they're passed/dumped.
