[Trannsvaal4CP] Go with the flow and step on the gas!

Day 2,534, 19:53 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Trannsvaal

Dear citizens,

After I ran two months ago as a joke and actually gaining one third of the votes, it is now time to run for real. Here is my program.

On the agreement with Poland
It is in the nature of our species that we are not happy with the current situation. A good example for that is the current situation with Poland sitting on two of our regions. In the first months of this, almost everyone was happy to have regions again after a long time of occupation. In the end it is just a waiting game before a call for more than emerges. And that is actually the time to stay rational and properly analyze the situation and make the right choice.

For this situation we need to ask ourselves the questions if this situation is really that bad and what the alternatives for Poland are. Let’s talk about the options for Poland first.
Poland is here for both wood and oil. The alternative for those bonuses are getting wood in Switzerland and going through Sweden for oil in Norway. That means 3 possible RWs instead of one to hold down in countries that are together about five times stronger than us. You don’t need to be a professor to understand that a deal with us is much, much easier than another option. This means that total freedom is not an option for us.
One of the things we lose in this is half of our congress. That mainly means 20 medals less as we hardly have the active players to fill these seats. So our congress is actually functioning better and there are fewer chances for players with bad intentions to enter our congress.
As the housing industries can only be operated with employees, you need a lot of bonus on that to be competitive on the market. That means we have no use for our wood regions as housing companies are not profitable. Our citizens that own weapon (raw) companies do however have losses due to the fact that we miss out on a 20% bonus on those.
Since we are currently allied with both Belgium and the UK, we do not lose anything from our possibilities when it comes to going to war, while on the other hand we have the occasional RWs and region swaps that give us regular chances to fight for our flag and thus TP medals (a nice source of gold for the youngsters who are building up their training grounds). Then there is also the protection and MPP support we can ask for due to this deal. And we already got some nice top prio’s in past battles.
This means that the deal has military benefits and some losses in our finances. A compensation for those losses is something we should pursue and that has been tried in the past as well. Those negotiations went sour for unknown reasons, but maybe the odds are in our favor this time.

Boosting our firepower
Two of the problems our citizens have with fighting are either the gain of XP that comes with it or the lack of tanks to actually fight with. The government is able to help the second group with the usage of its budget. My plan is to set up a supply system that uses most of the monthly budget to let our players fight more. The involved departments will quickly set up a system where players can request supplies according to their needs and their activity on the battlefield in the past week.
This system together with our gradually improving communes and training ground loans makes it so that we are investing our income directly back into the potential of our players and increasing it in the process.

Increasing our budget
As you might be aware, MoF has been working the monetary market with our reserves. In this, more reserves means more profit and dividing those reserves over different orgs means more chance of success. It is nice to have an ever increasing bank account, but that doesn’t give you anything more to work with on other things. With the recent increase there seems to be enough to polish up the system and start using more orgs again to quickly make profits when the market changes and lower the chances of failure due to a slow selling rate. This decreases the luck factor when it comes to profiting from a changing market. Instead of reinvesting the profits, they will now used as extra budget to support our citizens.

Shuffle, Play, Repeat
As you might have noticed, the current scene of alliances is changing. Relations between enemies are getting better and the other way around. Another game of musical chairs has already begun. That means we need players that know what is going on internationally, what the consequences are for us and what our best options are. As there is still too much unclear about this matter, I leave it there.

Trannsvaal II needs a little more of you!
Although I have contacted several players already, I still have some tasks left. So if you want do/learn/experience something in my cabinet next month, or you just thing Trannsvaal II needs a little more of you, please send me a message.

Let’s take a few steps forward next month!
