Well, simple thing actually- work as much as you need to (that's your consideration), train for military the rest of your time until you have 10-12 hours free, and entertain (rest) the remaining hours. That should recover your happiness without requiring expensive food. That's what I do...

lol no I meant rest about 10-12 hours. Although you probably have a Q5 house so you can lower it to 8-9.

example: work- 4 hours, train- 12 hours, rest- 8 hours

A lot of companies today have a problem paying salaries, so most of us work minimal amount of hours.
In training, you'll only use one of your 4 trainable abilities, so concentrate on only one.
I don't think you should study in the library, better train yourself instead. Most of us can handle the economy, but very few get close to your military capabilities.
And resting depends on how much money you can spare on food instead, and your house quality.
