{RSU} Law Proposal
Revolutionary Socialist Union
Hello eAustralia,
As part of the RSU commitment to open politics, we would like to present to you a law proposal put forward in congress by the honourable congressman Rusty D. This law, which can be only proposed in game by our Country President, is for a Trade Embargo on the country of Turkey.
As many eAustralians might be aware, last month, Turkey and their allies launch simultaneous attacks on one of our allied nations, Iran. At the time eAustralia ensured that our DOs were set to help Iran push back these invaders. Well fast forward to now. This war is still on going, Iran is still under constant threat of attack by Turkey and it's allies.
Australia has been standing by it's allies in this fight, but it is time we join our allies in taking it one step further. Short of launching a direct invasion, the next best thing is to help put a strangle hold onto Turkey's economics, to ensure there ability to set CO's is hampered.
Already the list of allies helping and joining in on this Trade Embargo is growing (list can be found here and as you will see the majority are close friends of eAustralia.
When looking at this law proposal, we can break it down into Pro's and Con's to it. Here are some of the Pro's:
- Show of unity with our fellow allies.
- Help reduce the ability of Turkey to amass COs and harm our MPP partners.
- Move into the next phase of war with an enemy of our Allies.
- Another way of helping defend our MPP partner Iran.
- Help ensure that our enemies are not financed by eAustralians.
- Show of commitment to any country that thinks it can bully Australia or our allies.
- eAustralians unable to buy from the Turkish markets (at time of publication, no major savings could be found via the Turkish markets)
- eTurkey can not advertise on the Australian market (at time of publication, no major Turkish players were advertising at any discounted rates)
- Anger of from the Turkish government (Turkey is already upset by our commitment of standing by our allies, this has been shown in weak attempts at trolling)
- Anger from the Turkish allies (There is an extremely slim chance this would move anywhere from anger to actual actions. And if it did we have support of our allies)
This action will show the eWorld that we are serious about defending our allies. That we will put our friendship of our allied partners at the forefront of our policy. As a single nation we are not strong, but together with our friends (Iran has been a close friend of eAustralia for the 2 years I have been involved in this game), we can not be defeated.
I ask my fellow congress members (this was presented to congress 7 hours before the law proposal) to support this law proposal, I ask the Country President to enact the law so we all can vote on it, I ask the citizens of eAustralia to speak up here in the comments in support, lobby your congress members. And as always, if you have questions, please ask them.
