Hello eJapan,
STOP buying food & weapons in eJapan. I would like to bring an issue to the attention of the eJapan populace:
Japan's TLS, DNP, and CtG parties have raised food & weapon taxes to a 25% VAT and 99% Import Tax.

Attempts were made to have the amount decreased to a more reasonable 8% VAT level, while still offering very protectionist 99% Import Taxes.

That proposal failed.
These unjust taxes are being levied by what much of the eJapanese population are dubbing the eSerbian colonial government. (See; http://i.imgur.com/zURQjzd.jpg)
So how unfair are these taxes?

Japan has by far the highest VAT of any nearby ranked country. The next closest to Japan's 25% is Uruguay's 6%.
Japan has a very high Import of 99%. 3 other countries in nearby rank have 99% Import, but all 3 have a 1% VAT. Not 25% like Japan.
Why, eJapan government, do we have such oppressive taxes?
SOLUTION FOR THE COMMON CITIZEN:
Move to an allied country (like a member of NEBULA: http://www.erepublik.com/en/main/alliances) or any other nearby country and stock up on food & weapons. DO NOT BUY FOOD OR WEAPONS IN JAPAN.
Also, leave the oppressive political parties that made these taxes. Leave DNP, CtG, and TLS. Join a political party that wants to HELP eJapan and her players. Join Shinsengumi (SSG), the United Lolies of Japan (ULJ), the Imperial Sun Party (ISP), Silver Chariot, or others.

Why would right wing Parties increase Taxation?
The government is stealing from the eJapanese people. Lower these taxes.
Maybe it's better to travel to an allied country, maybe one of the Nebula members, and help them with that money. 🙂
And they need to refill the treasury after they used a fair amount of money for CO, and use our own money against us.

Dear Jekica, we talked with all PP toghter in one conversation. I took it on myself to find MU which can be used as DW. I found one and we got it, i found second one and ULJ told that they will figure it out. Shadow the PP of TLS decide to TO it without telling us anything after he saw that i wrote this have 167K.

I'm afraid what you propose will only help the destruction. Mind you, there is no ideal solution here, but VAT hits primarily the producers/sellers, not the buyers. For the consumer prices don't increase that much, but the seller never gets the full price, because of production costs, so the tax hurts them proportionately more (tax is comparable to margin profit alone).
By buying outside we will kill our own factories. Selling outside is of course too costly to consider too. There is however a simple solution, which is trusted trading. How about we just set it up?
That they are harming the country goes without saying. Raising taxes on everyone to use the money for themselves is an obvious abuse of power.
Regardless of who is most harmed (buyer vs seller) the point of buying overseas is to keep money out of a corrupt treasury. Also, theoretically the powers-that-be are also sellers and would hopefully be harmed. Yeah, buying another country's goods is bad for Japan. But, that's the fault of the government and not the conscious consumer.
I do encourage private PM/article-based markets to sell goods directly until the taxes are back at a sane level.
That's why I suggested private trade - to keep money from them. A serious point is that they are not hurting themselves because they are collecting their own money in taxes, and no longer using them for everyone's benefit. In short their own money goes back to them.
Of course, a single consumer will benefit from buying outside simply because of the prices and this diminishes the domestic product. There needs to be some balance between individual and collective gains. Like you said, with the current situation it is not the consumer's greed that is harming the economy.
I think with so many citizens opposing the government, both the demand and supply will be large enough to maintain the private market. But details are best left to PMs.

I can arrange for any Japanese citizens who wish to escape the new tyrannical regime refuge in Canada with CS. We have much lower taxes; it may help save money for a revolution. The current Japanese government turned the treasury against the people as a weapon and now it plans to just tax the crap out of the population to make up for it, which is pretty distasteful for me. Don't give them your taxes, PM me for details on citizenship.
I will give money to them for travel.
