[MoHA] Profitability of factories

Day 4,128, 06:32 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Ministerie van Media en Recrui

Greetings citizens of the Netherlands,

one of the agenda of this presidency was to educate people more about the economy - about taxes, profitability of companies, monetary market, and all sorts of things connected to this. Well... as we have found out yesterday, we are not the only government interested in this topic, and one of the Irish citizens has already published an article concerning the profitability of companies. That article has been reviewed from our side, and we have found out that our own article would reach similar conclusions. As we have received permission to share this article in our media, instead of writing our own guide, we would like to recommend you reading the following article:

https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/investment-guide-update-day-4127-2692457/1/20

However - we still need to add some information, which is relevant to Dutch citizens:

!!!DO NOT BUILD COMPANIES IN DUTCH REGIONS. Even though it may sound patriotic to build here, we sadly have no bonuses, so you would not be getting profit from your factories, and it would be wasted investment!!!

- First of all, if you do not want to read the entire article, we bring you here the summary table, which shows the profitability of individual factories without any fluff around it. (ROI = Return of Investment = how much of investment you get back in one day)

- Second of all, due to higher Dutch taxes, higher Dutch market prices and variability of bonuses you can have (especially if your holdings are in countries, who are currently under foreign occupation), the ROI numbers would be slightly different - however the order of factories would remain the same.

- As you can see, the general rule (which is observed to be true for multiple years) is this: Q1 and Q2 food factories are good investments for new players, as they are cheap and bring good income to you (and food, which you need to survive). For rich players, Q7 weapons will always be great choice as well - however after last Black Friday, lower quality weapons have started to be profitable as well (which is a new trend, as especially Q1-Q4 weapons were not profitable in the past years).

- At this moment, the price of raw materials is extremely low, so building factories for them is not advised. In the past however, Q4 Weapon Raw Material factories were one of the most profitable (usually during various in-game events), so it is good to keep an eye on those. Never build anything below Q3 in Raw Materials - it is not worth it.

- Speaking about "not building"... anything above Q4 food is also not great, unless you really need to save space in storage.

- Housing factories and Aerial weapons are not included in this article, mostly because they need employees to function properly, and good bonuses. However due to the constantly growing prices of houses, and their lack on Dutch market, Housing might be a tempting industry to follow, if you can afford to pay high salaries.

- What surprised me a bit, is that the basic Training Ground (Weights Room) is the best option for investment for newer players. Hence why we need to more advertise the program we have for such an occasion.

If you want to know more, or you want to know specific numbers for you case, please do not hesitate to contact the President, who can easily calculate your profitability.

Thank you for reading!
