[MoFA] Ministry Activity - Elections, MPPs and TW [EN]

Good morning to all!

As we do every week from this Ministry, today I have the pleasure to bring all necessary information, both for our citizens and our friends abroad.

Congressional elections:
Yesterday the congressional elections were conducted with complete success. 30 new congressmen were elected in a clean and democratic. Any threat of TO this discarded, and that is by no means negligible for a small country such as ours.



MPPs:
Last week we renew the signing of two important MPPs, Argentina and USA. Although the financial effort made by our country to keep these treaties is huge, we firmly believe, from the government and Congress, that the benefit they bring us is of the same magnitude. Therefore, we welcome the renewal of these two MPPs and hope that the friendship between our peoples will be strengthened even more.



Training War:
Since only few know, these last days our Congress was debating the possibility of a training war with our neighboring country Hungary. The proposal came from the Hungarian government, and after a brief discussion about the minimum conditions of the deal, the two governments were satisfied. As we do with every important decision in our country, the government decided that the Congress was the most qualified to ultimately decide this question.
Unfortunately Congress did not accept the proposal of Hungary and the treaty fell. From the government we deeply thank Hungary for having us in mind in relation to such a project and look forward to our close relationship with the Hungarian people will not weakened by the decision of our Congress.
