Dear soldiers of the eNetherlands,
By time of writing, the Netherlands is at rank #17 with a cumulative damage of around 5,8 billion. Our most optimistic goal would be to reach rank #10, therefore netting us a larger Defence Shield. In any way, it's of top priority we maintain our current position in the top 20 and the Ministry of Defense will stimulate fighting and maximizing the capabilities of the Netherlands. We therefore wanted to share some bits of information and advices, so that you as soldier can do as much as possible for your country!
- The eNetherlands has declared a NE to Poland, as per agreement. Fighting in a NE will net a soldier 10% extra damage. We therefore strongly suggest every soldier to fight in NE battles as long as they last!
- Save up your energy and use it all at once, with a booster activated, is the best way to maximize your damage. But keep the use of bazooka's low, as they don't count for the Tournament, as well as bombs and rockets.

We have decided to reward both damage and the percentage reached during the Tournament. The new requirements:

only the top 10 gets weapons....... ouch. Also for the damage. How can relatively small players get the 100 Q7's? doing more PP then the big damage players. There must be a different way, giving more players the weapons........
These are just rewards for after the tournament. During the tournament there will be enough opportunities for ALL citizens to get weapons. Also, eRepublik has [sadly] decided that damage is important for the national rewards, therefore we're more valuing high damage. But as that would not be very fair, people who hit with low damage but high activity will be rewarded as well [they have a high %].
IRC Strike wasn't a 'success'. 😉

IRC strikes by it's nature of implementing it here require people to be on at certain times. That will hardly ever be a success (success in my book is reaching at least around 75% of our active player base) . It will work way better with an article to which to respond as that also works with people being online less regular. Which is the majority. And even then you will have a very hard time reaching 75% nowadays 🙁.
Not to mention the fact there was not even a strike that I'm aware of so most players stay asleep then but I have been online only a few minutes every now and then so I could have missed it if it wasn't on the allies fighting list of the war page. Very unlikely, but still possible.
Lol the CP wasnt aware too. We waited for 45 minutes or so until we got the news. Great communication between CP and MoD if you ask me.
Huh? Our CP was the one proposing NE. So at least he should know he was able to start yesterday evening and by doing so cover evening and early morning activity of our players. But as the NE is aimed to get more damage for the tournament waiting till morning seems the most logical and therefore I think its just for our CP to wait until morning. Seems like a communication problem indeed then 🙁

NE wasn't persé meant for more damage during the tournament, it was on request of Poland to get Southern Netherlands back. Original plan was to attack after the NE vote ended but after a discussion with Polish CP I waited till around daychange to open the first war.
Next time discuss it with your staff, so they are aware of that. 😛
