Join the new world

Greetings citizens,

As you might be aware, tomorrow are presidential elections and as a candidate, I feel it is my duty to at least write one article officially announcing my candidature and my plans going into a potential term in September.

Tomorrow I will reach day 365 of my term as Minister of Foreign Affairs and sould you grant me your vote, I might be able to continue that reign and record and bring some more glory to eBelgium. Now enough about the introduction, let me talk about the hard stuff and trust me when I say this, You will like it.



Government:
So the government will consist of the usual people, though if you are interested in learning about the craft, feel free to PM me and I will gladly put you with someone that will show you the basics. Don't be shy, we're all happy to show you what we've been doing and what you can do in the future.

Foreign Affairs:

We will continue our TW with our Albanian friends and I do hope you've been profiting of it and getting as many medals and therefore gold as possible.
Belgium will continue her commitment to PLUTO and continue to help her allies in whatever way. Whatever the case though, Belgium will continue to stay a loyal ally to Spain, we owe them as much for their kind treatment and help and Belgium never forgets that. We will also continue to expand our friendship with South Korea and hopefully get closer to the UK and to the Netherlands.



Economy:

We will use the income to pay for MPP's and the occasional AS if our allies require it. Otherwise, not much to say cause I don't give a crap about it.

Internal Affairs:

The big stuff, the meat of it all. Yes, for once we have sth to offer you in Internal Affairs and it is a big one. Over the last two months, both Icurlybear and myself have been revamping the eBelgian Constitution and Laws together with advice from Franckie18 and Fhaemita. The proposal will be put into Congress next week (5-11th of September) no matter the result of the CP elections. However, I can already give you some information about it:

- We removed every mention of the Forum, since it is not really being used anymore.
- Justices and Moderators/Administrators have been removed from the Constitution
- The Chairman of Congress (CoC) is now a vital part of Congress and the Constitution, he will be elected on a completely new day and have new responsibilities.
- Congress debates and secret votes will be held in PMs
- Public votes will be held in the Congress Newspaper
- The CoC will publish an end of term report in the Congress Newspaper as well as a weekly re-cap (excluding articles for votes).
- The PM's will be made available to the public as soon as the Congress has changed, exceptions count for private and secret information, those will only be published after 2 months or whenever the information is not secret.

You will be able to read through the whole Constitution and the Laws next week and participate in the debate. I hope that you will all agree with this step, a step into a new direction.
