[Mann4CP] Who has the Time?

For the first time ever in the history of Erepublik I, Mann551, am running for CP of Canada. After playing for a little while it appears that I must create a platform to run on so you all know what my plans are for the term, so here's what I came up with:
Lots of room for running
Now that we have room to run, here's the plan:
I. Money
II. Military
III. Brutal Honesty
I. Money
It doesn’t grow on trees. I’d say taxes and country income, budgets and all this money has been the overall dividing theme of this past month.
The Country needs money to fund wars. People need money to buy weapons and fight.
A. Taxes
I would aim to allow congress to continue on in their current discussions involving taxes which would bring in a peacetime tax rate, and also a war time tax rate and with a reserve fund as well, approximately $300k. You can keep up and read about these discussions here and elsewhere on the forum in Open Door Congress.
B. Budget
My aim would be to bring back a budget for the eCanadian population prepared by the joint efforts of my Minister of Finance, the Comptroller, and myself as well as any applicable deputies. After this budget is made, it would be presented to Congress to be approved so that congress and the Executive could be on the same page (Imagine the possibilities). Once approved by Congress, the budget would be made public in an article.
Conclusion on Money
Not happy with taxes? Complain to congress about it during my term until the budget is formally approved.
II. Military
Let’s see… To be honest with you all, I haven’t been a Minister of Defence or CP so I really don’t know about this. I’ve never been a Minister of Foreign Affairs either. Without being any of those, I don’t know what it’s like to work with alliances, and I won’t know the goings on until I’m in office, and even then it will take a few days to catch up. That being said, I do have a solid line-up prepared for my cabinet, a lot of which are fairly new faces, but are also experienced, as they have been deputies. I have strong people lined up for the MoD and MoFA, so my inexperience in those fields should be covered fairly well until I get a better hold of things.
Anyhow, onward with the Military Plans. I know we all don’t want to be bored with no war and true patriots are all so lovely. If by the time I would be elected in we are in a war, then that will be the war we will focus on. On the other hand, if we aren’t in a war, I’ll try and figure something out with the help of my Minister of Defence, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Vice President. I will NOT encourage the NE of the U.S. or Argentina or France or Portugal. Depending on the state of Ireland/U.K. I might try for a training war, or maybe an Airstrike somewhere else in the world. We will see, but I won’t make promises that I’m not sure that I can keep. I know, I know. That’s not how politics work. But that’s how I work, so deal with it. I will be continuing to look at any Airstrike potentials when I get into office. Whether that looks like continuing on anything DMV started or searching further for a potential airstrike target off of the work of the current administration so far.
III. Brutal Honesty
I do not have the personal finances in game to afford to fund a war. Private donations and Public Funds only. Nor do I have a job, hence why I have the time to be CP, so I won’t be spending a dime of real dollars to help the cause.
So finally, who has the time to be CP?

you are level 41, division 2, and only 17,000 strength. Those are not liabilities, they are great reasons to consider giving you a shot so : Good show.
so briefly said, you got no real plans, you have no leadership skills (i know you very well), the only thing you have is the time...wish only that made you suitable to be a CP. But nonetheless i'd like to see you in a CP chair, hell, i'm even gonna vote for you. Because eCanada doesn't deserve better.

no, you don't know me, you only judge a book by its cover. When i said i know him i meant it, because sadly he was a member of my party for a very long time, and he revealed his true backstabbing face recently, but that doesn't matter.
And when i said better, i didn't think about me, i'm not even running. But thanks anyway, when all this comes from a guy like you. Go and do what you do best, make couple of hundred of multies and help your friend win the elections.
How did I backstab? I was a member of our party, and I no longer agreed on the direction it was going in, so I left. I didn't do any damage to the party when I was PP except for that I was gone for a week when the 24th landed on the same week and didn't get to rearrange the listing. Other than that, I lost fair and square. I stuck with the party until some of the decisions being made I could no longer support. So I left. I didn't try to take anybody with me, I didn't smear the party name. I don't see how that's backstabbing
When I meant I knew you, you were in government with me and how sad you were at your job, I have seen for years how you go hay wire when people go against you, and have seen how you would operate as a CP.

Mann, as everyone know, i'm maybe shouting dumb cheesy jokes, but some people find them funny, i find them funny too. And if you think that my intention is to offend anyone with those jokes, then you must be an idiot. Especially a guy who was my friend for quite long time. So this shout excuse is just lame. You could've ended it with honesty but you didn't. Simple and easy.
I'm not saying that people won't enjoy them. I'm just saying I didn't really enjoy them, and so I unfriended you. If you take offence to that, I can't control that. I'm sorry my unfriending you has put you in a bad mood for the summer thus far and has caused you to dislike me.

I may be disappointed in you, but the disappointment really doesn't affect my opinion on you being CP. To put that aside, this is my most sincere opinion: I really think that you have no real plans; you lack leadership skills because you had the chance to lead our party few times, and i honestly think that your term would be one of the most boring CP terms in the eCan history.You're not ready to risk, you're inexperienced, you're not actually playing the game and you don't think outside of the box. It's only my opinion though, i do believe that everyone deserve the chance to prove themselves, so i will vote for you. All you have to do is to prove me wrong.

Your effort in communicating your goals and making good decisions is all that should be needed to be a good CP. Making it necessary for CPs to bring real money to the table is where eRep went off it's rails as a genuine game.

Time is all you need. Leadership skills do not matter here because no one will follow you anyway. All people care about is that the CP is 'around' during his term. Maybe make a new MPP or something.
What we don't need is someone who is going to pretend to "shake things up". I support the Mann. Put your feet up and let it ride.
