[ilphen] Can Polish cats into space?

Day 2,508, 13:57 Published in United Kingdom Germany by ilphen

Evening UK,
I've been here a while now, I like it, bit more active than Germany, believe it or not but the press is a lot better. Congress in Germany is essentially dead, there are no articles whatsoever.
Anyhow felt like I should contribute too, wasn't exactly sure where to start but I have been chatting with Aniisha a lot lately and an interesting question came up, which is what this article is about.
Essentially it involves a little bit of physics but also biology, genetics, spacetravel and lots of philosophy.

The ISS. Space. Earth orbit. You have had lots of animals up there, I know about geckos, chickens, goldfish, some insects, chimpanzees and I think the Russians sent a dog into orbit. But I am pretty certain there has not been a cat up there.
Common knowledge says cats always land on their feet.

So what the hell happens to cats in space? Is it the cat+buttertoast equation? You know, put a toast on a cats back, since it always lands on the butter side up and when the cat jumps off the roof it stops before hitting the floor and starts rotating, eventually ending up creating a wormhole when the cat eats the toast.

Common knowledge in science.

Is it similar to that? Does Schroedinger die? Will Polish cats die before reaching space? What's gonna happen?

I'd be happy to hear your theories.

I almost forgot to add the traditional redhead.
