I wish to announce my Campaign for President of Ireland.
My plan for Government is outlined below.
Return a Reformed Congress
It’s been a while since we last had a Congress. Congress always added spice to our lives. I plan to reinstate a Reformed Congress.
Congress will sit as follows:
Congress members will be selected via game mechanics. (Where no election takes place, each of the top 5 party’s will be allocated seats based on their % of members to a Congress with 20 seats, this is how the first Congress will be appointed.)
The government may appoint 5 other citizens to sit as Independent Congress members.
Each party represented in Congress will appoint a Congress Leader.
Congress members who have failed to vote during the allocated period will be assumed to have voted with their Congress Leader.
A discussion and voting period will be 12 hours in duration.
Congress will elect a Speaker during the first day of sitting. The Speaker retains their seat in the next Congress. A speaker must be nominated by a Congress Leader.
Tax Adjustments
House VAT: 1%
Remaining VATS: 5%
Import taxes: 5%
Work Tax: 5%

Immigration Policy
I plan to implement my Immigration Bill previously put to Congress almost 3 months ago. To see the Bill in full, check here.
Mass Messaging Threads
Once again our quaint community has lost it community spirit. I’ll be opening Mass Messaging Threads to include everyone in Ireland so that the are kept up to date. Not everyone has time to go through articles daily, so this will give them easier access to important information.
Military Communes Rebates
All military communes located and operating in Ireland, who satisfy the requirements, will be eligible for a Tax Rebate. The only requirement will be that the commune employs a minimum of 8 workers all on the minimum wage.
Owners of the communes, be it private individuals or Military Units will receive a Tax Rebate in the following ways:
Work Tax returned in full.
50% of total VAT paid on the sale of Weapons.
25% of total VAT paid on the sale of Food.
Remaining Funds
All remaining funds will go to paying for MPP’s
Dictatorship
As with the previous administration, the President will be appointed Dictator.

How would you plan on monitoring individual payment of VAT?
Your 5% Work Tax will absolutely cripple the individual producer who works as manager. At current rates, that would be around 2.50 IEP per factory.
Repaying communes their tax takes a lot of work - are you willing to check how much companies each holder has? How much they paid? Every single day?
I fully disagree with congress. Its a flawed plan and as before, puts constraints onto our national potential.
No need for an immigration policy except refuse those we don't want.
The old system was broken as not many players got involved or cared that much - I don't want to see us back in the dark days.
After carefully considering each of the offerings you have made here. I find some interesting concepts (such as PP multi-votes) but overall don't believe you have the manpower, finances, or connections to maintain the current level of growth eIreland has been experiencing under Sluagh's administration.

You should have gotten backing from more people in power. I think we already had our ConExit which was similar to Brexit. I dont mind if the people decide that they want congress again who am I to deny them. But on the other hand congress demands that all people get along each day. Like I said before people simply dont there will be rifts between WHS and most players for years. Reintroducing congress would be like building a house on a subpar foundation. If you want congress you must get all stakeholders interested in its possibilities which I never really saw. The people that spoke in congress is basically the same as those that write articles and commented on articles. Therefore congress is an outdated concept one can just write and article or post a comment in a mutual thread somewhere and see how popular ideas is. The same people will comment and others will just yes brother it or naybrother it according to their affiliations.
