{eLife} A view from the outside - Edited Day 3,357 19:38

Day 3,357, 02:18 Published in Australia Peru by Bank of Rusty D

EDIT NOTE: This article has been edited on Day 3,357 19:38

Greetings eAustralia,

As we all know, in real life, Australia tends to hold citizenship ceremonies on the 26th of January as part of the Australia Day celebrations. These ceremonies tend to give citizenships to many people all at once.

However in more recent times, with the push to change Australia Day to another date (Like Fremantle changing it to the 28th), there has been a pushed to change these Citizenship ceremonies to the 28th.

Does eRep mirror Real Life?

RL 0 – 1 eRep

Score 1 for eRep… as soon as the dust had settled from the congress elections, congress members of eAustralia have used the power they had been granted to fast track CS passes for new arrival’s and some old faces. Edit: It has come to light in the comments on this article here, that there was no new congress thread at the time of CS pass issuing

While this author is not currently in touch with the inner workings of eAustralian congress, some questionable things are quite easy to spot and some others are left up to the imagination.

Welcome to eAustralia

Persistence

One of the first CS passes issued, was by newly appointed and newly born eRep player, GrumpyOldDude (Ed. Congrats on getting your first congress medal), who used his CS powers to issue Citizenship to the returning Bautista Diego Reyes. Some of you might remember BDR from his time in eAustralia or elsewhere in the eGlobe or his tenure as CP of eAustralia. BDR had applied quite a few times in recent weeks to regain his citizenship for eAustralia, even going to the extent of article writing, messaging the CP, congress members and citizens of other nations to let him into the country. He also enlisted the support of other players, to help lobby for his re-admittance.

This is a great thing for all the players out there, as it shows persistence and determination pays off. So, kiddies, if you don’t succeed at first, try and try again.

TANK

Shortly after new congress member GrumpyOldMan took part in welcoming BDR, long time eAussie import, multiple congress member J Seemore, managed to secure the citizenship of a D3 tank, polk.BDrangov who instantly made his mark on the eAustralian battlefield by dropping 400mil + damage for Australia. While this tank has a lot of damage to do before he can achieve his first Aussie TP medal, I am sure his damage will become very valuable to eAustralia and his MU 'Peacewalker’.

D3 tanks, you have some competition now, but it is good healthy competition.

A Questionable Return?

While the smoke was still clearing from the massive damage being dealt by eAustralia’s latest import polk.BDrangov, recently returned, long time stalwart of eAustralia and eRep in general, Blackwood.285, welcomed his old friend Saiwun back to eAustralian shores. Saiwun’s arrival, comes on the back of his short stay in Peru where he has always maintained a close friendship with the power brokers. He left eAustralia back in late November for Peru just before contract negotiations broke down with Australia in regards to the hostile actions taking place by Peru against Australia (Editors Notes: At the time Peru claimed that eAustralia was being controlled by Chile and revealed they had been given information from a source within the Australian congress in this regards).

During his time in ePeru, Saiwun tried previously to return to eAustralia, even going to the extent of writing an article in regards to his CS application (Ed. Unfortunately, it appears this article now has been deleted…), however it was unsuccessful at that time. But it was good to see him going to the effort of writing an article about his CS application… I personally would like to see more CS app’s like that… even his recent app.

One thing for sure, as a known media writer, hopefully he will be able to produce articles like he has done in the past for Australia, like this: one

A view from the outside

Thank you for taking the time to read this article. While I am no longer an eAustralian citizen (all be it for the time being), I keep my holding companies in eAustralia and do damage for eAustralia (the great thing, I can finally use those ghost boosters). So I enjoy popping my head in from time to time and looking through the window.

I will keep trying to report on matters that seem interesting to me, be it political intrigue of eAustralia, RL happenings or just some general stuff. As it helps keep the Australian media feed ticking over, as well as I hope it brings some entertainment to you all.

An edited conclusion

With the information that came to hand after the original publication of this article, in regards to no new congress thread being formed, it leaves one to wonder about the CS pass issue. While there is an off chance that a CS committee is active, who PM’s a congress member directly about an applicatant, there is also the chance that congress members are using the power granted to them by Plato to issue passes as they see fit. While there is many pro’s and con’s to the different way CS passes can be issued, it does lead this author to think back to about a year ago, when CS passes was a very contentious issue.

So with keeping that in mind, ‘A view from outside’ will also stick his head into the citizenship screen when he looks through the window. Will there be more fast tracked CS passes? Will they have a bearing on elife in eAustralia? Is there something sinister about to happen? Or has this author been reading to many political drama’s? Will the issue of CS passes and committee’s be a CP election talking point?

So please stay tuned for another issue of ‘A view from the outside’.
