[DRAFT] missingno's policies/projects/open gov

Day 1,806, 09:24 Published in Netherlands United Kingdom by Bernard Hoffington

Over the next few days i will be meeting with a number of politicians and party representatives to work on this manifesto, amend it and make a final version to be published closer to the elections, preferably over the weekend.

Before we begin, i want to try and attract new people to the idea of working in the government. So if you've never worked in the government or not even joined the forums before, feel free to sign up for the chance to work in the government. You'll most likely work under an experienced Minister who will help show you the basics.

If your an experienced politician, please feel free to sign up too to give me a better idea of who wants to work where.

DemNL's Liberation Fund
Borrowing the idea i saw posted recently on DemnNL's congress policy article, the idea is to put a bit of money aside on a monthly basis to help save for supplies. These supplies will be given out during a 'Resistance War' for the chance to liberate our regions currently under ePolish occupation.

I think it's important we focus more attention on liberating our controlled regions. Although the chances of keeping them may be slim, allowing citizens to gain 'True Patriot' medals will allow a lot of gold income to citizens who might not normally get any as well as giving everyone the fun of wanting to liberate the region.

Department of Entertainment
As briefly mentioned in the previous article, what our country is lacking greatly at the moment is 'Fun'. After all, this is a GAME. What we need is a ministry set up to focus entirely on creating fun events such as quizzes, competitions and games that will get people involved and stop them from being two clickers.

We'll also set up ideas for 'Fun advertising', as opposed to the boring 'join up and get a forum reward' we'll use provocative imagery to entice people to join the forums and become part of the community which will hopefully increase activity. An idea suggested in the forums by Artemivanov.

Less spending
We're a small nation that doesn't have the biggest income. Last term our finances were completely exhausted on MPPs. This term, to make way for the 'Liberation Fund', less money will be spent on MPPs.

Instead, we will sit down and make a list of the top priority and most actively waring countries that will optimize our chances of battles as well as keeping MPPs to a low.

Communes/Military rethinking
We'll also be taking a closer look to our communes which is burning a whole in our cash. This may even be limited to people in 'National military units' to encourage people to fight for daily orders set by the 'Military command' and consolidate our fighters in a smaller amount of military units.

National library
Suggested to me by Broersje is using the same idea that the eGerman's set up. The idea is to set up a single article to host all the tutorials, guides and coaching articles.

Instead of having ministries constantly re-posting old articles that seem pointless, we can advertise this 'Library' article that will hold all the articles new players will need.

The article can be found here:

Call to arms
Call to arms is the idea that when the Ministry of Defense has extremely important orders, supplies will be given to people for shouting the orders article as well as voting and commenting on it.

This will allow more citizens to view the article and get the message across easier and more effectively. It will also be seen by our allies who may also come to our aid.

But missingno, we have no money for extra projects!
Yes, but quite recently while on the forums I've noticed a lot of projects get the attention of senior players who offer supplies/money to get them established. These offers are neglected and ignored. There is money out there being offered to us! But we're ignoring it.

It's time we start accepting people's help to get projects like this off the ground.

This is still the draft version, as mentioned at the beginning of the article we will be working on this, adding new policies, changing things here and there.
Expect the final version over the weekend, in time for the elections.
