Join the new world

Its been quite the interesting week if you've followed the current events of our new Avalon allies and our long time friends in Portugal and France. I'll give a full outline of exactly what has gone down and how.

Ireland

First off there elected CP and then appointed Dictator Kuthesh got into a heated hate war with Don Croata and Cromega. Kuthesh then took it upon himself to rob the country of around 1 million CC.

Ireland easily removed him as Dictator and still having a congress then impeached him into oblivion. They will be spending a few months like ourselves rebuilding. Every nation should have a shortlist of those that can be trusted.



UK

The UK was unhappy with the Dictator update as much we were. Ser Farts couped a Dictator into power and kept a meta congress in play. They were all divided and on how to move forward after a Dictator was put in place. There congress decided the elected CP would be named Dictator. The current dictator at the time didn't like who was elected, long story short he was removed from power after refusing to name the elected CP as dictator.

Things are a little murky as to why a new dictator wasn't put in place right away for security measures. If your going to pay 200k to remove someone you need to have counter measures to protect your country. My guess would be they had no one to foot the 200k bill and congress was undecided as to who they would place in power.

As the UK govt sat on the fence, MEK staged a coupe taking it out of there hands altogether. Unfortunatley Canada was unable to help as the battle started at day change and we were broke as well as asleep. Ireland wasn't able to help as they had problems of there own as read above. UK's country funds were also plundered.

MEK controlled UK then attacked us to remove MPP's. After that they wasted UK's airstike on Bulgaria for the same reason reducing them to two MPPs. Meanwhile Portugal made a failed attack on the UK while being removed from the Netherlands and the warfare equation altogether.

France also made a coordinated strike on UK and having better luck is pushing into the heart of the country.

First off this was obviously a well timed and coordinated aggressive push by our allies France, Portugal and MEK. We weren't consulted since we were building a new relationship with the UK. I can give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to them not informing us of there plans.

What I don't like is being forced into a war I wanted no part of. Were still relatively broke and needed time for everyone to reload and rebuild. MEK's UK NE on us was obviously a ploy to try and sabotage our new relations with the UK. Having our allies know of all this doesn't sit well with me either. I don't like being anyone's pawn, long time friend or not. Its not how you treat your allies.

I made a pact with UK hoping for something new and different through Avalon. Our populaces were so retarded and similar I thought it could be a match made in the heaven of craziness.

Unfortunately my greatest fear making this pact has already come to pass. One of our long time allies has attacked UK. The choice would normally be easy to say this isn't going to work out long term, hell it still might not anyways regardless of what I do. I feel I owe UK for helping us defeat Albania. They tanked, set CO's and lent us cc for that war.



Canada's Stance

I've never been one to make a popular choice but I always do what I feel is right and after much cabinet debate I've decided on the following actions.

-Canada will treat its war with the UK as a Training war and nothing more. All lands will be returned once the UK has re-established its own Govt.

-I cannot in good faith act against my nations allies as decreed in the Avalon agreement by NEing France. Im not prepared to cross that bridge in the name of a new ally against an old one. I care to much about our relations with France.

-Canada will help with the re-establishing of the true UK Govt by helping to overthrow MEK as stated in the Avalon agreement. We owe UK that much for there help against Albania and I could sleep better at night honoring that part of our agreement.

-Canada will revisit its relations with the UK through the Avalon agreement. The charter needs to be rewritten to protect against and the removal of foreign Coupe's only by maintaining our freedom to act with allies in warfare. A gentlemens agreement to maintain our fair gameplay and sovereignty.

This is the ultimate situation where we cannot make everyone happy and it sux to already be placed in this spot so soon after making a pact. It damages our relations with France and Portugal but I hope they see the big picture that Canada is a nation of its word. I'd rather be hailed as a trustworthy country than one that flips its agenda on a whim of opportunity.



There's huge lessons for Canada to take away from the dangers of the Dictator module. On one hand we have an elected CP appointed Dictator who has robbed his country of everything that left a fat payday in the tank.
Then on the other hand we have a nation who left the security of a Dictatorship failing to unite behind a single leader who were taken over by a strong foreign MU who has plundered there coffers.

So where does that leave us?

I'm definitely not a leader loved by all or even a solid majority. I can be trusted to do whats in the best interest of Canada at all times.

Come May the 5th our nations top 5 parties really need to look at who they back as a future president/dictator as the reigns of power may be on the move.

The 200k cost of removing me as dictator has so far kept enemies at bay. I will continue to keep our coffers empty by removing all cash at 100k intervals that will be placed in a Govt org and then into mine or Bryan Alexanders hands. Cash cannot sit freely in govt orgs as the cash can be requested back by a new dictator if a coupe is started and money is there at the time of it starting.
