[CP] Update - Day 2,244

Day 2,244, 14:36 Published in Switzerland Switzerland by Monsieur Guillontine

Salut madams and monsieurs,

What an interesting term it has been so far! Here's a little update:

First of all, our extremely talented Minister of Foreign Affairs, Uros012, initiated a diplomatic conversation with our close ally, Belgium. After some discussions, we have been able to sign the Chocolate Unification Treaty, a treaty that will foster further amiable relations with Belgium. In addition, this treaty cements stronger efforts, on the parts of both nations, to always assist each other in the event of a political take-over. Furthermore, the treaty calls upon both sides to form a Joint Investigation Committee that will further prevent political take-overs through mutual investigations provided by both nations. Lastly, the treaty encourages eased immigration when a Swiss citizen wants to acquire Belgian citizenship, or on the contrary, when a Belgian citizen wants to acquire Swiss citizenship.

In addition to the treaty, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also re-established the Swiss Ambassador Program under the leadership of the Director of Embassies, Gyantse. This Ambassador Program is still open for applicants, so if anyone is interested in applying to become a Swiss ambassador to another nation, please read the article and fill out the form as soon as possible. I hope that the program will draw in more active citizens and produce more involved Swiss members of our community.

Our great nation will also be participating in a European Tournament hosted by Ireland. Only small European countries are allowed to participate in this tournament, and the goal is to see which nations, military units, and individuals are able to produce the most damage. This tournament intends to not only create a stronger, friendly competitive environment in Europe, but also encourage smaller nations to stand up and protect themselves against outside aggressors. Let's show Europe how we Swiss like to fight!

Lastly, I would like to discuss the war with Slovenia. As of now, we are facing increasingly aggressive invasions from Slovenia. It is a given that they are stronger than us; after all, they have seven times our population. However, we will continue to fight. We have faced little success with diplomacy in the past, and we have oftentimes been given horrible offers that do not benefit Switzerland in any way possible. We will continue to fight against Slovenia. Even if we do not win, we will still cause them trouble. They can no longer oppress us. We will fight back.

As a result, we ahve been actively pursuing alliances, both officially and unofficially with other nations. As of now, we have signed Mutual Protection Pacts with Canada, Macedonia, Mexico, and the United States of America.

That's all for now. We have many obstacles ahead, but we will continue to persevere and show the world that Switzerland never gives up. Let's embrace our future! Hail Switzerland!

Let's fight. Fight for peace.

Yours truly,
Monsieur Guillontine
President of the Swiss Republic
