[Artela] The Road Goes Ever On

The previous tale ended with us pondering “How do you cope with the loss of everything you held dear in a magical enchanted make believe world...?” Well, herein lies another tale.




It turns out that not everything was lost to the girl in the tale of the enchanted make believe world. She may have lost what she had regarded as her home, but she also found she still had many friends. Some of those friends also found themselves adrift from their previous homes and together they have now traveled a new road that has led to what they hope will be a new home, a new beginning.




Things either break us, or they make us stronger. Change is never welcomed if it is thrust upon us, but even from changes not of our own choosing we can move on and start afresh. Not all the fresh starts will work out, but eventually one will.




And now it’s time for our girl and the friends on the same journey to rest for at least a while in their new home, and the name of that new home is the Socialist Freedom Party, a place that has been warm and welcoming to the weary travelers that have found themselves on their doorstep. A place where diversity seems to be welcomed, not reviled, and where an independent spirit is not stamped on but instead is encouraged and nurtured. A place not full of wolves and sheep and the inevitable carnage that produces, but instead a place where the individual is valued and honestly held opinions are not shouted down.




So maybe there will be a happy ending. Who knows. It is still early, but signs are hopeful. And hope, after all, is a savior of the heart and soul. The Pandora’s Box of the enchanted make believe world may well contain the same as it’s real world equivalent. Hope may yet save us all.
