Party Presidential Address #5 … I feel quite accomplished. I won’t lie, I had a bit of trouble mustering the motivation to write this. Having a spot of bother in my RL that’s knocking my brain about a bit, but I said to myself that I had to do it, I’d made a promise to myself and if there’s one thing I hate doing, it’s breaking a promise (It’s why I so rarely make them nowadays)

IT’S THAT TIME OF THE MONTH!

My favorite part :3 True story, I love Party Presidential season, always have. I think it has something to do with seeing how new people handle a role i’m all too familiar with at this point, and seeing how I can work with them to keep the party going and getting better. Don’t get me wrong, Congress and PotUS Elections are fun, but I have been more attached to the party side of the game for a very long time … It’s where part of the magic of community is found, you know, that thing that keeps most of us around.

And yet again, I’m going all masochist on myself and i’ve thrown my hat in the right for a 6th Term. I’m seeking the party’s confidence in allowing me this gracious opportunity!

I never planned on this to be honest, I mean … I’d joke about it like I joke about most things, but as I approached this date, I realised that there was the chance to make sure these avenues i’ve opened keep open and get improved upon. That’s why before I go any further, I REALLY WANT YOUR FEEDBACK!

You can’t run the party if you’re not willing to open yourself up to criticism and listen to what people want/think. I feel I have been a fair PP - I’ve done quite a few good things, but there are parts where I have dropped the ball and should have done better. I will never be ashamed to admit when I’m wrong and have done wrong, and this is one of those times.

I hope that my record so far is proof enough that I am worthy of being considered for another term. I’m in no way saying I DESERVE it, because nobody should feel entitled to anything in this game, even if they feel they have earnt it. You must constantly work to earn opportunities like this, and that is what I plan on doing … constantly working!



What’s next?

In this segment, I’m just going to let you know about what’s going to happen for the rest of the term:

1) - Naturally, the Party Presidential Primary (or P3 as people are calling it … dear god xD), will come to a close. Currently, the race is between myself and greeling (Oh hey, a rerun of last month!), and if you haven’t voted yet, get your butts over to here - http://www.ampforums.info/forum/thread-826.html

2) - I’ve asked my Chief of Staff Dave Gulya and Media Director Bomb Squad to prep article so that the media will not be sparse of AMP-Related or AMP-Sponsored Media. I’m not sure what they’ll have chosen to write about, but with it coming from AMP, you can bet that it will have quality written all over it!

3) - The Final AMP Radio Show of the Term will air on Saturday 13th. It has been much hyped by myself as we’re moving for this one from our usual Mixlr Medium we’re so used to at this point … TO TWITCH.TV! (http://www.twitch.tv/johnkillah to be more specific). Not only that, but we will be started roughly an hour early (To account for people who want to play) and will also be streaming longer than the hour we usually do on Mixlr! Feel free to drop on over to the show, where you can watch the gaming and listen to the skype conversation, and hell, even join in!

4) - Finally, the last Weekly Newsletter will go out. I’ve been proud of these, and i’m glad some people appreciate the effort that goes into it. It is literally a one man show - I write it. It’s amazing how even when you don’t want to write an article … once you start, your fingers just seem to have a life of their own, working in perfect concert with the part of your brain that is subconsciously saying all the words you’ve just read. I honestly didn’t put that much thought into how to set the article out today … I just let my fingers and brain do the work … I felt like a mere conduit of some other force. It’s weird brah.
