What Makes Oat Willie the Perfect Front Man
back when dinosaurs roamed the earth there were underground radio stations and underground newspapers, and head shops, where we'd find underground comics.
there were quite a few, and one common thread among them was that they were subversive and a danger to society.
Oat Willie became a cultural icon, appearing on posters and tees and merch-- I even had several Oat Willie Power Hitters!
As you'll learn, there a lot behind the SFP's front man.. it's pretty deep, man.
here's a screenshot of the first page of a fairly long story, this here link will take you to the actual Oat Willie web page where you can contune your journey.
Step back in time to around 1967 or so with The Origin of Oat Willie
...
yep, that's about it.
oh, yeah-- Vote SFP today..
they got a good lineup, every one is someone you'd want representing your interests in Congress.
Vote for the Dumb Money takes a fun look at the SFP candidates.

"In my opinion Oat Willie was and continues to be the spiritual representative of the holy earth's wishes for peace, freedom, and democracy in action. Standing in his highly mobile oat bucket, he symbolizes the twin concerns of transportation and nourishment. Our poignant, skinny, gentle, and wistful warrior for peace is the Goddess of Liberty's boyfriend-in the spirit world"
The Oat Willie origin story was written by Marianne Wizard, long a mainstay of Austin's beloved community:

Happy to say that my introduction to "socialist science fiction" was at a course that Marianne hosted (long, long ago) at Austin's "Bread and Roses School for Socialist Education". Funny, charming, smart as a whip, I credit Marianne with helping me to learn that lefties don't have to be dour malcontents stuck in a rhetorical rut.
