We are sorry
Geokos
Hi mates.
If you see my newspaper I dont offen write articles, only if I have something serious to say.
Although we are opponents in the game and maybe in the rl, we are humans and feel sorry for the unfair loss of people.
We feel sorry for the unfair loss of people and the big damages in Kostantinoupoli (Istanbul).
We wish you get over it quickly and never have to live it again.

I never believed that the name of the city would be the theme of the article.
The real intentions of the article were for me to show my sympathy to your dead people.
Ps. Would it be better if I changed the name of the city to Geokospoli ? IoI

Thanks but dont forget that. Here is İstanbul since 1453.
Not true, it wasn't called like that since 1453. Check your history...
what about your multi population ?
In our hearts She is and She always will be CONSTANTINOPLE. You can call it whatever you want for yourselves

natural disasters show no mercy and recognize no borders.Its sad when human lives lost by earth's will and wrath.
@ my fellow turkish citizens: this article is obviously written with good intentions. so theres no need to be offensive against the author.
@geokos: thanks for your good wishes, however you should have known by now that Turkish people are sensitive regarding the name of our biggest city. It is called Istanbul.
- for those debating about the history of the name of istanbul, have your knowledge before presenting your ideas. get the facts here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Istanbul#Names" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Istanbul#Na[..]Names
burak that was a question to your people? how is your ex president?
@Van Raus
I know name changed in 1770 but İstanbul is in our control and we are not using that name. We didnt change its name at first, cause we were understanding. But i saw, that was wrong.
and istanbul is στην Πόλη or εις την Πόλιν in your language. Learn that too. Write somewhere.
@ Trelo Gavros
It would be always in your heart. It will be never real. Here is İstanbul. And look at the map to see it's name 😉

I like your society builder medal,bro 🙂
It's shining ! 🙂
Firstly, wikipedia can NOT be considered as a source.. Everyone can upload anything.. correct or NOT..
But the fact is that people lost their lives and it's a shame fighting each other..
But Gani Gunay, when the Greeks where saying "Ι'm going εις την Πόλη" (to the City), the people who was living in the area and didn't know the greek language, made a new word from the sound of that phrase.. that's how the word ISTANBUL created. It's not insulting for Greeks but we feel better to call the City as Konstantinoupolis (Constantine's City).. as our ancestors did an as it's been written to our hearts..
@anilkoc
yağmur felaketi için sanırım baş sağlığı diliyorlar ölmüş insanlarımıza. Ama İstanbul demek yerine malum ismi kullanıyorlar. Yani önce bizimle toplarını paylaşıp sonra topu patlatıyorlar 🙂
@Zonianos
You are writing in Turkey's post. Please write English or Turkish.

it derives from the Greek phrase "εἰς τὴν Πόλιν" [istinˈbolin] or in the Aegean dialect "εἰς τὰν Πόλιν" [istanˈbolin] (modern Greek "στην Πόλη" [stimˈboli]), which means "in the city", "to the city" or "downtown".[5]
@Burak
You do well, try to do some advertisement as well from time to time, will not heart you 😉 You spent too much energy to similar to your ex-tanks activities.

İstediğiniz kadar "Kostantinoupoli" desenizde burası İstanbul(islambol)'dur.1453,1922 Tarihleri yetmedi galiba?Ha birde 1974 var.Unutmadan 1996 yılındad ki Kardak adasınıda unutmayalım 😃
This is a useless arguement. you Greek friends are free to call our city any way you like. I live in Istanbul and if you wish to send me a letter you HAVE to address your letter to ISTANBUL. otherwise I can not get your letter and feel sad, since theres officially no city called constantinopolis on earth. 🙁 😃
thanks for your good wishes.
we will heal ourselves
Long live to Constantine, Constantinopolis lives since 324 of our Lord. And you won't silence it. Go Greece! Go men of Byzanthium, arise!
@Vladimir Alexia

Ya beyler teşekkür edin geçin. Ne derlerse desinler. İsterlerse Kansas City desinler.Madem baş sağlığı diliyorlar eyvallah. Fakat sizi kızdırmak, tartışamaya çekmek istiyorlarsa istediklerini vermeyin.
Thanks Greek friends. We appriciated by your sensivity.

in the other hand, author of this article is not honest. he just came and wrote about provocating.

@Vatopaidis
Are you a human? I dont think so.
YAŞA FATİH SULTAN MEHMET YAŞAAAAAA İSTANBUL HERZAMAN MÜSLÜMAN VE TÜRK KALACAK 3 ÜN 1 İNİ ALIRSINIZ

Istanbul, beautiful city.
dear turks.. you changed the name but still Istanbul remains a greek wor😛)))
